Believing that recovery is possible can feel like a massive leap of faith, especially when you have been unwell for a period of time and may have tried lots of different approaches. Have you spent years trying to cope, hold everything together, or stay emotionally ‘safe’?

If so, this could be one of the reasons why your body feels utterly exhausted, all the time.

It’s a pattern that I see repeating again and again in women living with fatigue and exhaustion - and why I want to share more about it.

When you are aware of what’s going on, you have the power to change it, and in doing so, change your energy levels.

Join me on Tuesday 9 June at 1.30pm to find out more.

Some of the beliefs that keep people stuck in fatigue don’t sound dramatic.
They sound ordinary.

“I should be able to cope.”
“Strong people push through.”
“Rest is lazy.”
“I can’t let people down.”
“My worth comes from what I do.”
“I have to keep going.”

But when your body is asking for rest and your beliefs are demanding more, that inner conflict uses energy.

This week’s video explores the hidden beliefs that can quietly shape how you use your energy — and why it may be time to revisit some of the old rules you’ve been living by.

“For now” is one of the most important phrases when it comes to acceptance of your chronic fatigue

Because acceptance doesn’t mean:
“This is who I’ll be forever.”
It means:
“This is where I am right now.”

And when you can meet yourself where you are right now, you can make calmer, kinder, more realistic choices.

You can rest without so much guilt.
You can plan within your current limits.
You can stop pushing through and paying for it later.
You can begin working with your body instead of against it.

This week’s YouTube video is all about acceptance as energy conservation.

Acceptance of your fatigue is not giving up.

It’s not saying:
“I like this.”
“I want this.”
“This is forever.”
“I’ve failed.”
“I should stop trying.”

Acceptance simply means:
“This is where I am right now.”

That one shift can free up so much energy.
Because when you stop using energy arguing with reality, you can begin using it to support yourself instead.

This week’s video explores why acceptance is really a form of energy conservation — especially when you’re living with fatigue, burnout, or ongoing exhaustion.

You can spend huge amounts of energy fighting the fact that your energy is low.

That fight might look like:
“I should be able to cope.”
“I just need to push through.”
“I hate that I can’t do what I used to.”
“I’m letting people down.”
“What’s wrong with me?”

Each thought is like another browser tab open in the background.
Individually, they may not seem huge.
But together, they drain you.

This week’s YouTube video is about why fighting fatigue can make you more exhausted — and how acceptance can help you begin to reclaim some of that energy.

Why does fatigue feel even more exhausting when you’re trying so hard to overcome it?
Because sometimes the exhaustion isn’t only coming from the fatigue itself.

It’s also coming from the fight.
Fighting your body.
Fighting your limits.
Fighting your symptoms.
Fighting the fact things have changed.
Fighting the voice that says, “I should be able to do more.”

And all of that uses energy too.

In this week’s video, I’m exploring why fighting fatigue can quietly become another energy drain — and why acceptance may be one of the first steps towards freeing some of that energy back up.

Acceptance doesn’t mean giving up.

It means recognising where you are right now, so you can stop arguing with reality and start working with yourself instead.

If you’ve been sitting on the fence…
Today is simply a moment to decide.

Not from pressure.
Not from fear.

But from a quiet question:
👉 “Is this the right next step for me?”

You don’t need to have everything figured out.
You don’t need to feel completely certain.

Just notice:
How does it feel to stay where you are?
And how does it feel to begin something different?

The doors close tonight.
And whatever you decide — that’s okay.

If this feels right for you, you’re very welcome to join us.

One of the biggest shifts I see…
…is when someone realises their energy isn’t random.

That there are patterns.
That certain situations drain them…
and others support them.

And once they start to see that clearly, something changes.
Not overnight.
But steadily.

I’ve worked with many women who started exactly where you might be now:
• exhausted
• unsure what to do
• stuck in cycles that didn’t make sense

And over time, with the right kind of support, things began to shift.
More clarity.
More consistency.
More energy to actually live their life.

Not perfect energy.
But enough — and reliable enough — to build from.

If that’s what you’re looking for,
this is exactly what First Steps to Freedom is designed to support.

Change doesn’t come from doing everything.
It comes from doing the right things, consistently.
