With the current hot weather, it’s important to know the signs of heat exhaustion and heatstroke 👇

🌡️ Heat exhaustion

Symptoms include ➡️

- feeling tired or dizzy
- a headache
- feeling or being sick
- excessive sweating
- cramps in the arms, legs and stomach
- a high temperature
- being very thirsty
- feeling irritable

Move the person somewhere cool and give them fluids. If they don’t feel better within 30 minutes or their symptoms worsen, seek urgent medical advice.

🚨 Heatstroke

Symptoms include ➡️

- a very high temperature
- hot skin without sweating
- fast breathing and a fast heartbeat
- confusion and restlessness
- seizure (fit)
- loss of consciousness

Heatstroke is a medical emergency. If someone has signs of heatstroke, call 999 immediately 📞

• Thursday: 2.00pm - 6.45pm
• Friday: 8.00am - 6.45pm
