All welcome, this will be a chance to discuss your own projects, input on the developments of an intergenerational toolkit, and have an open discussion about intergenerational practice.

Adam from Front Room WSM will also be talking about the outreach work that the theatre is doing for younger and older audience members with an intergenerational lean.

Fun, laughter, Pimms, games and prizes. All part of our Summer Garden Party this afternoon. Add in the strawberries & cream, summer feel good music and sunshine. No wonder residents, relatives and staff all had such a great time ☀️🍹🎵😎

What’s Jasmine doing?

Empathy suit training. The suit inhibits mobility, motor skills, vision and hearing.

It gives the wearer a unique sense of how it may feel to be an older person. Staff were set simple tasks such as moving objects on a table, pouring a drink, walking, and reading. Our staff say it really makes them understand what it can be like for our residents and by experiencing it for themselves, they have greater empathy and compassion. We will continue to provide this invaluable training for your staff.
