What holidaying at fifty has reminded me…
I’m so grateful for our little van, which carried us all the way to Italy this year.
I love van life. Yes, I’ve had my fill of pasta, pizza and tiramisu 😂 but I also love the freedom to cook food my body enjoys - and that helps our budget stretch a little further.
I’m also grateful for this body of mine.
These days, I care a little less about what it looks like and a whole lot more about how it feels to be in it.
I don’t want to take it for granted. I want to enjoy it while it’s strong, healthy and able.
Swimming. Hiking. Paddleboarding. Cycling. Cold plunges…Bring it on!
I’ve wondered what my body would be capable of these days, but it continues to surprise me with its resilience.
I’ve also loved reconnecting with the younger version of me who knew how to have fun simply for the sake of it.
My mum always said, “You’re as old as you feel.”
There’s something wonderful about getting down to my son’s level, letting go of the responsibilities of being a grown-up for a while and remembering that life doesn’t always have to be so serious.
Feeling very grateful for the memories
made, the adventures had, and this incredible body that keeps carrying me through it all. ❤️🙏✨
