*Campaign launch announcement!*
Over the past year, we've been working hard behind the scenes to secure funding and grants. While we adore our Creative Health sessions, getting funding is quite challenging. We're incredibly grateful to have recently secured support from the Freemasons, Clitheroe Physiotherapy Trust, Onward Homes, and the Integrated Care Board for East Lancashire. Honestly, we receive far more rejections than approvals, so when we do get funding, we're absolutely thrilled and appreciative! It truly shows that others recognise the value of our mission to spread creative health throughout Lancashire and beyond. These recent contributions have inspired us to launch another crowdfunding campaign!
Lancashire County Council will generously donate up to 40% of what we raise, and we just need at least 20 backers. If you believe in what we do, please consider pledging today via the link in our bio. Even a small contribution of Β£2 demonstrates your support and will help us reach our goal.
Check out our videoβ€”it's definitely not professional and was done in one take! This really shows how much we've grown and developed in the last year. When we started School of You, we were so shy about posting and would never have dreamed of an impromptu video, but here it is! Thank you for reading, listening, and supporting our work. Kate &
Sim. πŸ™πŸš€

We took inspiration today from Robbie Williams' art work. Self-criticism and self-doubt can be crippling and can affect anyone at any time. Even megastars like Robbie.
Personifying our inner critic, then contrasting it's negative effect with self-compassion can reduce it's power and be a game changer. We love this powerful affirmation. Thank you Robbie! πŸ’šπŸ’›πŸ’™πŸ’œ

Week 2 in Clitheroe. Exploring the multiple layers of our emotional landscapes through exploring with paint. 🎨 Kate is enjoying working with local counsellor, George who brings years of experience working as a MH practitioner for the NHS.
If you haven't painted since childhood, see if you can carve out time to experiment and play.
Thank you Clitheroe Physiotherapy Trust for funding this programme. πŸ™πŸ»

What do you do with 30 six and seven year olds at school in 35 degree heat? Kate is back to cover teaching in a local school and this School of You collaging activity was a huge hit. Mindful and relaxing for all ages with individual and unique outcomes. They liked them so much that they are framing them to sell at the school barbecue. πŸ’š

Community Stitch Project Round-Up! 🧡 What a joy to lead and be part of this beautiful project. It brought together an incredible group of women from diverse ages and backgrounds, offering a unique insight into the lives of Ukrainians in Lancashire. Friendships blossomed, skills were shared, and countless small acts of kindness – from homemade snacks to roses and kind words – made every moment special. Each of the 20 members explored their creativity, with many, including Kate, discovering a new love for embroidery, tapestry, and appliquΓ©. We learned new skills and created something truly beautiful together. Thank you to each person who was part of this project, to our Spacehive donors who helped fund it, the volunteers who helped put it all together, Clitheroe library for displaying it (go check it out if you are able). Also, a huge thank you to Lancashire Evening News for sharing our story of connection, creativity, and cross-cultural community! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦Read full story here https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/26186302.ribble-valley-arts-crafts-project-brings-people-together/
