Hi everyone,

I’ve had a few new followers recently so I thought this would be a good chance to reintroduce myself for anyone who doesn’t know me. My name is Brenda Mc Elroy, I’m an accredited counsellor with over 20 years of experience working with young people. I use an integrative approach in my work, so therapy is tailored to meet the needs of my clients. I also offer workshops promoting positive wellbeing in schools and community settings. I absolutely love what I do and I’m so passionate about promoting positive mental health.

I do a lot of work in schools and colleges so, as the summer break approaches, I have more availability for counselling support in my own private practice in Ballygawley, County Tyrone. If you feel you would benefit from counselling, or would just like to know more, please get in touch for a chat.

Please share this post to help me spread the word.
Thank you!

Perhaps you’re taking action this by speaking to a counsellor for the first time 🤍

That step can feel big, unfamiliar, or even overwhelming – so here are some questions you can save for later, ask in a first session, or share with someone else who might be thinking about getting support too.

Because feeling informed and supported can make reaching out feel a little less daunting.

What does New View Well-Being and The Devil Wears Prada 2 have in common??? 🤔

Answer - EFT, or tapping.

In The Devil Wears Prada 2, you may have noticed Emily using a tapping technique to manage her stress. This tool is known as EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), a therapeutic tool that is proven to help reduce stress, anxiety and emotional distress by tapping on meridian points on the face and body to shift a negative flow of energy. It's pretty amazing!

I'm delighted to share that I have recently achieved the Level 2 Practitioner training in EFT after completing training and assessment through Key2Empowerment, and will be offering EFT, either within therapy or as a stand alone technique.

If you would like to be like Emily and give it a go please get in touch.
Please help me spread the word by giving this post a like, comment or share, I really appreciate it 🫶

Have a read through the attached information and if you would like to be like Emily and give it a go please get in touch 🫶

One of our favourite parts of Devil Wears Prada 2? Emily finally learning to deal with her stress. Gone are the positive affirmations and in their place: EFT tapping. But does it actually work? Turns out, it can. We spoke to the experts to find out how it works and its benefits:https://marieclaireuk.visitlink.me/0BhWzq

I was delighted to return to Drumragh Integrated College today to explore positive relationships with the year 8 students.
We explored self awareness, communication, compromise and compassion through a fun filled combination of activities and discussions. It was great to catch up with the lovely staff and students again! Completely forgot to take a photo but definitely a great way to spend Friday 😁.
Dates are already being booked for school workshops in September and there are limited workshop dates available for the end of May and June, so please get in touch if you would like more information!

Not all counsellors are created equal – and choosing the right one matters more than you think.

The right counsellor will not only have the right qualifications, but will also create a space where you feel safe, heard, and genuinely supported. Therapy should feel collaborative, ethical, and grounded in respect – not rushed, pressured, or one-sided.

If you are considering counselling, save this checklist and use it as a guide. You deserve support that feels safe, empowering, and aligned with your needs. 💓
