Our next Coffee Club is this Sunday at Starbucks, St. Annes (Worksop)

This group is all about taking a moment to slow down, connect with others, and remind ourselves that we’re not alone in our fitness journeys or everyday life.

Whether you’re a Mar-Fit member or not, everyone is welcome. Come for a coffee, tea, and a good chat with familiar faces and new friends.

🚨As it’s Father’s Day this Sunday, I’ve moved the Coffee Club an hour earlier to 10am so you can still join us and have plenty of time to spend with your dad or father figure afterwards.

✨ WE'VE BEEN KEEPING A LITTLE SECRET... ✨

Well... not really. 😅

Firstly, thank you all so much for your patience over the last few weeks.

We know many of you have been waiting for updates, and whilst we haven't been intentionally keeping things from anyone, we've made a conscious decision to only announce things once decisions have been fully made and finalised. The last thing we wanted to do was share plans that could later change.

So, whilst we're not quite ready to reveal all the details just yet, we wanted to give you a first glimpse of the direction we're heading in...

This next chapter is incredibly exciting for us and reflects our vision of creating a dedicated space where women can improve their fitness, prioritise their wellbeing, build confidence, make friendships and feel supported.

For now, we thought we would simply sharing our vision and branding.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support and belief in us. We truly believe this will be worth the wait. 💛

STRUGGLING WITH WHAT TO EAT BEFORE A WORKOUT? 🤔

One of the most common nutrition questions I get asked is:

👉 What should I eat before training?
👉 How long before my workout should I eat?

The answer depends on the size of your meal, but as a general guide:

✅ Larger meals: 2 hours before training
✅ Smaller meals/snacks: 1–1.5 hours before training

Your pre-workout meal should give you the energy to train hard without leaving you feeling heavy or uncomfortable.

💪 The best pre-workout meals include:
✔️ Carbohydrates for energy
✔️ Protein to support muscle recovery and performance
✔️ Plenty of water for hydration

Some great options:
🥣 Weetabix with protein powder
🍞 Toast with peanut butter and a protein shake
🍌 Greek yogurt with granola and fruit
🍚 Rice cakes with protein yogurt
🥣 Oats with fruit and whey protein

Remember, what works for someone else may not work for you. Your nutrition should be tailored to your goals, lifestyle, training schedule, and individual needs.

I absolutely love training with we push each other so much. I got a few PBs 🏋🏻‍♀️ 💪🏻

Marfi is in her prep but she’s still lifting heaving and feeling strong. Im feeling the strongest I have ever been and the numbers in my log book show it 📖

IN PERSON CHECK IN WITH COACH 🤩

Yesterday I went to see my coach, Meg, for an in-person check-in — and yes, even a coach needs a coach! 💪

Meg was really happy with how far we’ve progressed, and she’s confident that we’re exactly where we need to be at this stage, with my first competition of the season fast approaching!

Of course, there’s always room to improve and progress. I’m happy with the progress we’ve made, but never satisfied — there’s always another level to reach 👀

Having Meg in my corner has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for both my fitness journey and personal growth. Having someone who believes in you, guides you, and keeps you accountable is invaluable.

Now it’s time to keep pushing forward, make even more progress, and see what package we’re going to bring to the stage this year! 🔥🏆

Being BIG. Being MUSCULAR. Being STRONG 👀

As women, we’ve spent years being told to be smaller. Take up less space. Stay quiet. Stay skinny.

But why?

Strength is powerful.
Muscle is powerful.
Confidence is powerful.

There is absolutely nothing to be ashamed of about building a strong, muscular physique as a woman. In fact, it’s something to be celebrated.

Being a woman who lifts heavy, trains hard, takes up space, and isn’t afraid to stand out is a FLEX.

We should celebrate women who choose to be strong, big, confident, loud, and unapologetically themselves.

I’m proud to be a female bodybuilder.
I’m proud of the muscle I’ve built.
I’m proud of the discipline, resilience, and confidence that come with it.

Your body doesn’t have to fit someone else’s idea of femininity. Strong is feminine. Muscular is feminine. Powerful is feminine.

So if you’ve been holding yourself back because you’re worried about getting “too big”—don’t.

Build the muscle.
Take up the space.
Be proud of your strength.
