UPDATE

Thank you to everyone who tagged and helped us secure reputable tradesmen to help us.
We now have a list of preferred local contractors who we will be meeting with shortly to arrange quotes and construction.

Evening everyone, anybody know a fence guy who can provide quotes?

We now have our site plans confirmed and we need quotes to build a boundary fence.
The length of the fence is marked in the drawing and it will take only run where the green line is because there is already a wall with a fence on the other sides.

If you know someone or you are that someone willing to get involved with Rural Rest and kick off the big build please let us know when you can provide a quote.

World su***de prevention day eh?

Here’s some statistics for you….
In the past ten years of recorded su***de statistics we, Scotland as a nation have went to the polls twice to elect MSP’s and twice to elect councillors.
We elect the same number of elected officials almost every time.
That number is 1432 mostly the same folk!

In that same time period there is a steady number each year of people who take their own lives.
That number since 2014 is a staggering…..

8214 lost souls

My main point here is this……

Each year for the past ten years on this world su***de prevention day we see mostly the same elected representatives both national and local stand with banners, smiling ear to ear telling people they aim to make a difference.

Well considering your numbers seem to stay the same your position of local representative stays the same and you keep telling people out here you know what their going through and the number of su***des keeps rising I think you need to up your game and stop lying to people about how connected you all are with your community.

Banners aren’t working
Promises aren’t working

Get a fu***ng grip of this country, talk to communities and find out what is needed to make people feel better.

If we need hope, then are we not already desperate?

This support matters hugely. When local people, communities, council and government work together, we can create a better way of doing things. That chain of people power, joined with the right support from government, can make change happen much more smoothly.

This is why people vote for change — to see people working together, listening and backing ideas that can make a real difference.
