A new season begins now 🌱🍂

The astronomical event called equinox takes place on March 20 this year. At this point, seasons on the Earth change from winter to spring in the Northern Hemisphere and from summer to autumn in the Southern Hemisphere. It’s good news for most of us in the North, who are already tired of the cold weather. 🙂

This day is also remarkable for many astronomical effects like (almost) equal day and night around the globe. And it’s widely celebrated as the day that marks the edge of seasons from ancient to modern times and from India to South America. 🌄 You’ll find out many interesting facts about equinoxes in our article ⬇️

Watch tonight’s Supermoon rise tonight, later it just skims over the constellation scorpious and a couple of globular clusters M4 and M80 although low you should be able to make out the blob of stars. Although best when the Moon is out of the way its something to pop on you lists to see.
