In addition to providing nursing and dementia care, we offer a range of services that can be used by residents (and non-residents again when Covid-19 restrictions are lifted) . Short term rehabilitation

After a period in hospital further convalescence may be needed before returning home. Here, our staff can help increase mobility, rebuild strength and boost confidence. Short breaks

Whether it’s

for four weeks or four months, we can provide round-the-clock care of the highest standard. (Rooms are subject to availability and a minimum four week stay.) Activities

We also run a range of activities on each wing and in our community hub that are both fun and engaging, from gardening and baking to games and quizzes. We also usually have a range of regular entertainers who come to visit us (not currently due to Covid-19 restrictions, but we look forward to welcoming entertainers again soon). Hairdressing

Our hairdresser is available for a cut and blow dry, set or short back and sides. (Booking in advance is advisable.)

This week we've been busy creating our very own candles! Using easy-to-mould wax, residents chose their favourite colours and got creative, crafting beautiful flowers, colourful fruit, and adorable animal designs. Sunday Funday! ☀️🍦

Last Sunday, we had a fantastic day out at the 5 Parishes Country Show. With the sun shining and ice creams in hand, our residents enjoyed a wonderful day exploring everything the show had to offer.

From watching the dog shows and thrilling BMX displays to browsing the stalls and soaking up the lively atmosphere, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

It was a truly special day shared by our residents, their families, and our staff, creating lots of smiles and wonderful memories together. 💙

This week, we hosted our very own Wedding Fair – a wonderful reminiscence activity filled with cherished memories and meaningful conversations. Residents shared photographs from their special day, reminiscing about happy moments and the stories behind them.

The room was beautifully decorated with wedding dresses, shoes, jewellery, and other keepsakes, creating a sensory experience that brought memories to life. We finished the celebration with tea, cake, plenty of laughter, and even some dressing up, making it a truly enjoyable afternoon for everyone.

Our Back to the Sixties Summer Fête was a huge success! From live music and friendly animals to bouncy castles and a delicious BBQ, it's safe to say everyone had a fantastic time.

Residents embraced the theme by dressing up for our sixties-themed photoshoot with friends and family, creating some wonderful memories. There was plenty of fun to be had, with many trying their luck at Hook-a-Duck to win prizes, while our tombola proved popular with lots of sweet treats up for grabs. The Wine or Water game also kept everyone entertained, with some lucky winners taking home a bottle of wine! We also celebrated a special birthday for Barbara.

A big thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so special. We can't wait for the next one!

Making Waves and Memories!

Yesterday, a few of our residents were lucky enough to enjoy a wonderful boat trip around Mersea Island. The smiles on everyone's faces said it all—it was a fantastic day out!
