💜 "Our Paul"💜
Last Thursday myself and staff from both Care quality services Colchester ,and The manager Helen and her staff from the Drummonds Care home , came together to say a final good bye to "Our Paul " two care providers who become family for one man.
We could not have asked for better.
The manager Helen and her staff organised the most beautiful service and included CQS every step of the way.
Paul was with us from 2008 ,sadly his health deteriorated and he needed the love and support from Drummonds care home, for the last 8 months of his life.
We could not have asked for better care for Paul and hearing from the Drummonds staff Confirmed it.
What an amazing team they were they really did Paul proud.
The flowers were beautiful. As was the eulogy and the fabulous film put together of all his Photos.
What made the day extra special was seeing care staff that have played a part in his life with us all coming together making time to attend.
Elaine Langdon, Jayne Burch , Julia Allan , Lorna Samuels and all who could not attend in person but attended online.
Special mentions to Vicky Waters who brought Anna so she could say her goodbyes. And Paul`s best mate Our amazing Live In Care worker Rodney Horlock who not only assisted to carry Paul into the chapel but he did it in a cowboy outfit something Paul would have loved.
What should have been a really sad day turned into smiles,giggles and very fond memories of the Adventures Paul got up to, all read out in his eulogy with lots of giggles from Anna,
