One of the biggest shifts I see in the mums I work with is this:

They stop seeing anxiety as the enemy.

Many come to me saying:

"I just want the anxiety to stop."

Which makes complete sense.

But often anxiety is the signal, not the source.

It's your system saying:

Something needs attention.

Something feels too much.

Something has been building for a while.

If you've been carrying responsibility, pressure, mental load and emotional labour for months (or years), it makes sense that your system would start sounding the alarm.

That's why my work isn't just about helping mums feel calmer.

It's about helping them understand what's underneath the overwhelm in the first place.

Because when things start to make sense, everything changes.

If this resonates, my free hypnosis audio is a lovely place to start.

For so long I thought I had to be better.

A better mum.
A calmer person.
More patient.
More organised.

I thought if I could just get it right and do it all I'd finally stop feeling overwhelmed.

But what I slowly realised is understanding what's happening underneath changes everything.

Because when we don't understand WHY we feel the way we do...we tend to blame ourselves.

We say we're not coping well enough. Not disciplined enough. Not resilient enough.

When the reality is just not that.

Sometimes we're coping with more than we are designed to.

That shift changed not only not only how I see myself but how I work with other mums too.

If you feel like you're not coping lately you are exactly who I designed my 21 day calmer mum reset for...

A gentle way to look at what is going on underneath the overwhelm 🤍

What if you aren't bad at coping?

What if you've been carrying too much for too long?

So many mums tell me that they feel like they're failing because they're:

👉🏻 More anxious than they used to be
👉🏻Snapping more easily
👉🏻 Struggling to switch off
👉🏻Feeling overwhelmed by the small stuff

But when we look closer they're managing a HUGE invisible workload.

⚠️The school forms
⚠️The appointments
⚠️The emotional labour
⚠️The remembering
⚠️The planning
⚠️The worrying. All the worrying!

The question isn't always why can't I cope...?

Sometimes it is how much am I supposed to be carrying?

If you've been feeling anxious, overwhelmed or emotionally exhausted, I've designed a free hypnosis just for this, designed to help slow your nervous system for a moment.

What is wrong with me?...nothing!!!!

And there is no good answer your brain can come up with, not that will make you feel good.

Instead try what pressure have I been carrying lately?

You don't need fixing. You don't need to change.

The mums I work with simply need ways to feel less overwhelmed, and their nervous system needs support.

For a long time, I thought the answer was finding the right system.

The right routine.

The right planner.

The right morning habit.

The thing that would finally help me feel on top of everything.

But when you're already running close to empty, another system often just becomes another thing to maintain.

Many overwhelmed mums aren't struggling because they're disorganised.

They're struggling because they're carrying a huge amount mentally and emotionally every single day.

And when your nervous system is overloaded, everything feels harder.

Simple decisions feel bigger.

Small setbacks feel overwhelming.

Switching off feels impossible.

You don't necessarily need more discipline.

You may need more capacity.

More support.

More opportunities for your mind and body to come out of survival mode.

That's one of the reasons I'm so passionate about hypnotherapy and nervous system support for mums.

Because sometimes the answer isn't trying harder.

It's helping things feel lighter.

Which slide resonated most with you? 🤍

People often expect dramatic transformation...

You don't need to be transformed - or fixed!

What people usually notice first is that they feel:

Lighter

Calmer

Able to pause before reacting

Less on edge

Not because their life changed.

But because their system isn't carrying quite so much.

If you've been feeling mentally overloaded for a while, this is what my reset sessions are for.

But days become weeks.

Weeks become months.

Months become years.

And that's when becoming overwhelmed starts to feel normal...

That's when we adapt to stress and often stop noticing just how much we are carrying.

If you've been constantly feeling "on" struggling to switch off, or reacting more than you'd like, it doesn't always mean you're doing anything wrong.

It likely means your system has been under pressure for longer than it was ever designed to be.

Support isn't just for crisis. Sometimes it's for the person that's been coping for too long.

The mums I work with are usually so hard on themselves.

They tell me:

I should cope better

I shouldn't be so overwhelmed

I need to be more patient

I should get myself together

But when we get down to it...a different picture often emerges.

A mum who is carrying the mental load for everyone.

A mum trying her best running on empty.

A mum who hasn't had space to switch off properly.

And suddenly the question changed.

Instead of what's wrong with me?...

What have I been carrying for so long that this now feels normal?

The shift matters.

When we stop seeing overwhelm as failure we can start to see what's actually going on underneath.

This is a big part of the work I do with mums through hypnotherapy and nervous support work.

Not helping become perfect. Helping things feel less hard.

If you ever feel like you've been getting things 'wrong' this is your reminder that there may be more going on underneath 🤍

You stopped. Your brain didn't...Does this sound like you? 🩶

You stopped. Your brain didn't...

Does this sound like you? 🩶

You finally get five minutes to yourself

Children are in bed.
Jobs are tomorrow's problem.
You sit down.

Yet your brain is still going.

Thinking about what you need to do tomorrow.
Remembering something you've forgotten.
Planning meals.
Running through mental to-do lists that never end.
Replying to messages in your head.

Many mums assume this means they're bad at relaxing...

But often it's not about relaxation at all.

Whether you've spent months or years carrying the mental load, your brain gets used to staying on alert - always looking for the next thing that needs your attention.

Then switching off can feel so difficult, even when you desperately want to rest.

It's not a lack of willpower.

It's often a sign that your nervous system has been carrying a lot for a long time.

This is one of the most common things I help overwhelmed mums with through hypnotherapy.

Because feeling calmer isn't about trying harder to relax.

It's about helping your mind and body feel safe enough to stop being 'on' all the time.
