Today we celebrated Peter’s birthday surrounded by his wonderful friends and family.

The celebrations included a raffle, wine-themed fun facts, a welcome Prosecco and a delicious selection of cheeses and wines, accompanied by olives, tomatoes and some fine chutneys. 🧀

Peter made a lovely speech, thanking Victoria and Jenni for everything they had done and his friends for all his gifts and cards.

And, of course, no birthday is complete without cake! Peter’s was a beautiful tower of homemade scones, strawberries and all the deliciousness you could wish for! 🍓

Happy Birthday Peter! We hope you had a truly wonderful day! 🥂

🎓 Big congratulations to Sophie Carter at Colne House Care Home Kingsley Healthcare Group, who has just completed her Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care with Paragon Skills!

Sophie has worked so hard to reach this milestone, and it really shows in the care and compassion she brings to our residents every day.

What a day we’ve had at Allonsfield House Care home 🥰

We started with a delicious lunch before being entertained by the wonderful Steve, who had us singing and dancing. As we all know, here at Colne House, we absolutely LOVE a good sing-along!

We were then treated to a lovely cuppa and a slice of cake ☕🍰 before heading out to explore their amazing therapy farm.

We got to meet goats, turkeys, pigs and lots more… but we have to say, we completely fell in love with Erica, one of the sheep! 🐑❤️

I mean… isn’t she beautiful?! 🥰

🩷🌸 A very big Happy 102nd Birthday to our lovely June! 🌸🩷

Yesterday, June turned 102 years old… how incredible, and how absolutely fantastic does she look?! 🤗

We had such a lovely, fun-filled day celebrating June, taking part in the big quiz, enjoying lots of cake and laughter, and of course plenty of bursts of “Happy Birthday” singing! 🎶🎂🥳

June and her brother Harry are the oldest residents in our home, and Harry is looking just as fabulous! 🩵

We can’t wait for the joint birthday celebrations we have planned at the end of the month, when we’ll be joined by their families, along with lots of entertainment and even more celebrations! 🎉🎶

We got creative in the sweetest way! We have enjoyed decorating our own biscuits with colourful icing, fun patterns and tasty toppings 🌈✨

It was a lovely opportunity to get creative and of course, there was the important decision of whether to eat the masterpieces afterwards!… although Lorna snuck off & tucked into hers straight away 🤭 🍪

What a fantastic minibus trip we had to Cressing Temple last week 🌞
We enjoyed a wonderful morning exploring the beautiful historic site, learning all about the fascinating barns and the ancient sundial. There was plenty of reminiscing and laughter as everyone had fun dressing up in traditional costumes before finishing the visit with a lovely picnic in the gardens 🧺
