It has been sympathetically converted to provide residential and dementia care in a stunning environment with spacious and elegant bedrooms.

💜 Friday Quiz 💜

We enjoyed another wonderful quiz hosted by our manager Victoria, which has now become a weekly tradition! The residents are already asking, “Is Victoria doing the quiz this afternoon?” I think it’s safe to say it’s becoming a firm favourite! 🫶🏽

The best bit? Everyone’s a winner and everyone gets a prize! 🏆

We enjoyed a cheeky little glass of w**e too, because why not? It’s Friday, after all, and we’re all feeling those Friday vibes! 🍷😆 the staff got involved in the quiz and came out as winners… well done, Colne House team! 👏

And here’s a little fun fact we learnt along the way… did you know the world’s longest moustache is 14 feet long?! 😳😂 You really do learn something new every day at Colne House!

Join us at Colne House on Wednesday 21st October, 4pm–6pm for an evening packed full of Halloween fun! 🎃

We have SO much going on and we’re especially excited to welcome back our fire breather from last year! 🔥 Last year’s performance was absolutely spectacular… and we can’t wait to see what they have in store for us this time! 😱🔥

Expect spooky surprises, plenty of fun, laughter and, of course, a few tricks and treats along the way! 🍬👻

October sunshine at Colne House! 🍂

Who would believe it’s October when the weather is giving us days like this? 🌞 We are making the most of every little bit of sunshine while we can!

We have been enjoying time out on the patio, soaking up the lovely weather, enjoying a quiz and taking in the fresh air. We’ve also been making the most of our outdoor walks — there’s nothing quite like a little autumn sunshine to lift the spirits. 💛

It may be October, but we’re certainly not ready to say goodbye to summer just yet! 🌿

An impromptu trip to the pub ! 🥂 🍺

Sometimes the best afternoons are the ones you don’t plan! This afternoon, we took advantage of the lovely sunshine and enjoyed a spontaneous little outing to The Lion Earl's Colne for a refreshing drink in the sunshine. 🌞

There were smiles all around as we enjoyed a change of scenery, a good old natter and some lovely time together out in the fresh air.

A big thank you to The Lion for making us feel so welcome!🤗

We enjoyed a lovely Tuesday morning filled with yoga, fresh air and gentle walks, taking the time to stretch, move, chat and enjoy the outdoors together.

What a lovely and busy Wednesday we had this week!
In the morning, we enjoyed a trip over to Halstead Empire Theatre for the Halstead Dementia Friendly Choir. There was plenty of singing, smiles and toe-tapping, and it was lovely to see everyone getting involved! 🎶

Then, after lunch, we swapped our singing voices for our chef hats and got making devilled eggs! 👩‍🍳

A wonderful day filled with music, laughter and good food — just how we like it at Colne House!

🤎 Autumn has arrived at our doorstep… 🤎

Although the sun is still shining and we’re being treated to some beautiful warm days, there’s no denying it… autumn is here, the proof is in our beautiful gardens! 🍂 🍃

We love watching the seasons change at Colne House and bringing a little bit of that magic indoors. Our doorstep has had its autumn makeover, filled with warm colours, cosy touches and a sprinkling of seasonal charm 🧡

As the leaves begin to turn and nature puts on its beautiful autumn show, we’ll be embracing everything this wonderful season has to offer… from crisp mornings to golden afternoons and all the little moments in between 🫶🏽
