Sunflowers, unique trees, and river views! 🌻🌊

We spent a lovely afternoon exploring the grounds at Acorn Village. We were all amazed by two giant sunflowers and loved checking out the unusual Monkey Puzzle tree! On the way home, we took the scenic route past the Manningtree estuary to watch the boats bobbing on the water. ⛵️

Rachel’s birthday wish was a delicious one! 🎂🥢 Having lived in Asia for many years, Rachel has a real love of Asian cuisine, so what better birthday surprise than a meal at a Chinese restaurant with her family. ❤️

Her grandson even travelled all the way down from Newcastle to join her, making the occasion even more special. 🥰

There was plenty of laughter, wonderful food and precious family time. A truly delicious birthday celebration and another Wish Wednesday wish come true! ✨🥢🎉

We were delighted to invite families and friends to join us for a lovely afternoon of nostalgia, laughter, and good company at our Last of the Summer Wine themed picnic in our beautiful gardens 🧺
We welcomed Robbie Williams tribute who was amazing and the rain held off for us ☔️

🌏 Language Café – China 🇨🇳

This month our Language Café took us on a fascinating journey to China! We quizzed ourselves on some fun facts, discovered lots of amazing things about Giant Pandas 🐼 and enjoyed learning more about this wonderful country.

We then tucked into some delicious Chinese nibbles prepared by our kitchen team while watching beautiful Chinese fan dancing. 💃🪭

Such a fun, colourful and interesting morning! ❤️

Chris had a wish to see some beautiful flower displays, and what better place to visit than Popular Garden Centre! 🌺🌿

We enjoyed a lovely sunny afternoon wandering amongst the colourful variety of flowers, admiring the fascinating statues and taking in the beautiful water features. There was so much to see and enjoy! ☀️🌷

What a wonderfully relaxing day at Brightlingsea! 🌊☀️

We enjoyed taking in the beautiful seaside views, watching the boats gently bobbing on the water and spotting birds as they went about their day. There was plenty to watch as families played happily in the sand and enjoyed the sunshine. 🐚⛵️

We found the perfect spot to enjoy a delicious picnic, taking our time to soak up the peaceful surroundings and enjoy each other’s company. And, of course, no seaside trip would be complete without an ice cream! 🍦😋

A lovely day of fresh sea air, beautiful views, good food and plenty of smiles. 💙

☕️ Another successful Coffee Morning! 💕

It was wonderful to welcome so many family and friends to Alderwood for our weekly coffee morning. David, who volunteers with us every Saturday, was busy serving drinks alongside the delicious cakes freshly made by our kitchen team. 🍰☕️

Some relaxed and chatted in the brasserie, while others enjoyed the beautiful surroundings of our garden. 🌿🌸

What a fantastic Friday morning at Alderwood Care Home! 🍌💪

We were delighted to welcome Louie for our morning exercise session, and everyone absolutely loved getting involved. There were plenty of smiles, laughs and lots of energy as everyone joined in at their own pace. 😊

And the star of the show was Rachel, who took the title of Top Banana! 🍌🏆 Well done, Rachel! 👏

Our Friday morning exercise sessions are always a favourite, and it’s wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves while keeping active together.

Well done everyone — what a brilliant start to the day! ❤️
