ππOur visual processing assessment looks at the magnocellular visual system, which is responsible for detecting movement, changing focus, and controlling eye movement. Issues in this system may cause difficulties with; copying from the board, reading, reading comprehension, spatial awareness, hand eye coordination, short term memory, spelling, writing speed and getting ideas written down β to name just a few.
We assess a number of visual processing skills including:
β’ Convergence
β’ Eye tracking
β’ Saccadic fixation
β’ Visual memory
β’ Visualization skills
β’ Meares-Irlen syndrome (coloured overlays)
β¦. And many more
Following the assessment, you will be given a personalised home-based exercise programme to help improve skills that are found to be weak. You will also be given a full written report, including interventions to assist with learning.
If you feel like your child would benefit from a visual processing assessment, simply send us a message for more information.
