Woody's Attic, located on Church Street, is a treasure trove of unique and unusual gifts, and we are incredibly grateful for the fantastic support they continue to give Great Oaks Hospice through their generous donations.
Every raffle and auction prize helps us raise much-needed funds to support local hospice care. Thank you for helping us make a difference 💚

🌳 EVERY STEP HOLDS A MEMORY 💚

This October, we're asking the Forest to walk together for Great Oaks Hospice.

On Sunday 18 October at 10.30am, four walks will set off at the same time from Cinderford, Coleford, Lydney and Newent — each following a local 5km route, but all walking for one very special cause. 💚

Walk in memory of someone you love.
Walk to celebrate someone special.
Or simply walk to help Great Oaks continue being there for local people and their families.

Great Oaks Hospice provides its care and support completely free of charge, and every entry and donation helps us continue to do just that.

⭐ THIS FRIDAY - DROP IN ADVICE AFTERNOON ⭐

Whether you’re joining just for refreshments catered by our fabulous team, or to talk to the Great Oaks Hospice support teams – you’re welcome to join us for 15 minutes or the full event.

Great Oaks provide a range of services for adults with life-limiting illnesses, and their families and carers. All services are provided free of charge.

Here are a few examples of how they can offer support:
- Support to residents and families as you adjust to the changes you need to make to live with an illness or condition
- Counselling & Bereavement Support
- Carers Support
- Wellbeing Services and Activities for adults living with progressive, life-limiting conditions and their carers, family or friends.
- Cancer Support Groups
- Mens Group (every Wednesday afternoon in their Wellbeing Centre)

Great Oaks Hospice is our ongoing charity of the year and we whole-heartedly support the incredible work they do, and the support they have provided many families and residents in our home.

We are delighted to thank Forge Motorsport, for their generous donation of two Gloucester Rugby tickets, in the Stowford Press stand, for our charity auction at the Narnia Themed Ball at The Speech House Hotel

We’re delighted to say a very big thank you to Advanced Drylining, who raised an incredible £2,110 for Great Oaks Hospice at their recent Golf Day. ⛳👏

It’s a fantastic amount, and we’re so grateful to everyone who played, supported, donated and helped make the day such a success.

Support like this means so much to Great Oaks and helps us continue providing our services free of charge to people and families across the Forest of Dean community when they need us.

🎄 A VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU TO THE ROYAL FOREST OF DEAN ROTARY CLUB

We’re delighted to share some lovely news as preparations begin for the return of the Great Oaks Hospice Christmas Grotto at Coinros Park Nurseries Lydney.

A huge and heartfelt thank you to the Rotary Club of the Royal Forest of Dean, who have awarded Great Oaks Hospice a grant to help us make this year's grotto even more magical.

After such a wonderful response last Christmas, we wanted to build on what we created. Rotary's generous support will help us replace our Christmas lights and add some extra sparkle to the grotto, as well as helping Santa and his helpers prepare something special for every child who comes to visit. 🎅✨

The Rotary Club works incredibly hard raising funds to support charitable causes, with priority given to projects benefiting our local Forest of Dean community.

We're extremely grateful that they have chosen to support our Christmas Grotto and help us create another special experience for local families.

🎄 𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐲𝐞𝐬… 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤!

Our grotto at Coinros Park Nurseries will open from the last weekend of November and run in the lead-up to Christmas.

We'll be releasing dates, times and details of how to book very soon, so keep an eye on our socials.
