Maureen and the family of the late Donald McKay wish to express our sincere thanks and heartfelt appreciation to everyone who sympathised with and supported us during the recent loss of our much-loved husband, father, grandfather and brother.

We are especially grateful to all who came to offer condolences at the family home, phoned, messaged, sent letters and cards and sent donations in lieu of flowers. We are so thankful to our friends and relatives who brought food and helped out in other practical ways.

Your support, thoughts, prayers, care and presence with us were and continue to be a great source of comfort and strength in our time of loss.

We are grateful to the paramedics in attendance and the Emergency Department staff of Causeway Hospital for their medical attention. Our thanks go to the whole care team at Ward C4 Antrim Area Hospital during Donald’s brief illness.

We deeply appreciate all those who attended the Thanksgiving Service and special thanks to Pastor Richard Blayney for conducting such a meaningful service. Thanks also to the catering team at Coleraine Baptist Church for providing food and refreshments after the service.

Our heartfelt thanks go to Alison and the team at Hugh Wade & Son Funeral Directors for the professional, caring and dignified manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone for their kindness individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation.

Maureen and family.
