Just a little dirty chai thought š that I wanted to share with youā¦.
We live in a world so captivated by what we see that sometimes I think we forget to look a little deeper.
Weāre constantly being told how we should lookā¦how we should ageā¦what we should wear and what our bodies should be. As though our reflection in a mirror could ever tell the whole story of who we are nevermind determine our worth.
But a face is only the outside of a person. It doesnāt tell you about their morals or their values, maybe their kindness or their loyalty or even the battles theyāve silently fought.
And perhaps thatās the saddest part reallyā¦that we can become so consumed by beauty that we forget to notice goodness or kindess.
Because faces change. Bodies change. Looks fade.
Time leaves its little fingerprints on all of us. The things we once thought made us beautiful will eventually fade, maybe soften or possibly shift completely.
But the way you made someone feel⦠that stays.
The kindness you showed.
The love you gave.
The compassion you offered when nobody was watching.
The little pieces of yourself you left in the hearts of others.
The way you leave those a little bit better than how you found them.
Those are the things that become timeless.
A beautiful face may catch someoneās eye but a beautiful heart leaves a little piece of itself behind.
And I think that when all is said and done, that is the kind of beauty worth carrying through this life. ā¤ļø
