In 1690 a French diplomat described Nuad Thai (also known as Nuad Bo Rarn; nuad bo-rarn; nuad boran; nuat phaen boran) Tradional Thai massage as -
'When any person is sick at Siam he begins with causing his whole body to be moulded by one who is skilful herein, who gets upon the body of the sick person and tramples him under his feet'.

For 15 years I've been practising what's referred to in Thailand as Nuad Bo Rarn (nuad bo-rarn, nuad boran or nuat phaen boran) Traditional Thai Massage; one of the five disciplines of Thai medicine originally taught at Wat Po temple, Thailand's first university.
Nuad Thai massage is recognized and regulated by the Thai government as a branch of Thai Traditional Medicine and recognised as a medical discipline for the treatment of a wide variety of ailments.
The Nuad Thai massage that I practise - from the comfort my home in Colne - combines targeted acupressure; stimulating the sen energy lines (blood circulation); and stretching (Lazy Yoga).
This combination of techniques aims to relieve tension; manage pain (particularly shoulders, neck and back); relieves the sciatic nerve; plus, ease tight joints and muscle stiffness.
Administering Nuad Thai massage I have to maintain correct body positioning and posture control whilst giving a massage in order to avoid personal injury; especially to my back.
As such, it's only possible for me to massage 2 or 3 clients a day as it's very strenuous for me.
It's therefore essential to make an appointment: text or WhatsApp's messaging is best; please state your name; date, time and for how long you'd like to book.
Moreover, 60 minutes is the minimum time for a traditional Thai massage.
Monks taught me traditional Nuad Thai massage in temples.
