People only see one side of this space.
The beauty of the treatment room.
The garden in the sunlight or glowing at night.
The sound of the water.
The heated bed.
The treatments.
The laughter, the tears and the conversations.
Where someone arrives carrying the weight of their week and, hopefully, walks back out feeling a little lighter.
That’s the side people see.
What they don’t see are the early mornings and the late nights.
The studying and qualifications. The planning. The washing. The cleaning. The admin. The accounts.
The constant learning, building, painting, planting and creating.
The ideas scribbled into my phone at ridiculous hours.
Or the moments when I wonder whether anyone will even notice all of those tiny details I’ve obsessed over.
Whether they’ll understand that this space is rooted in heartache and pain, but has somehow become transformational in its existence.
And then, each time someone notices and stands beside the pond for a little longer.
Someone tells me they feel safe here.
A stranger becomes a familiar face.
I remember why I’m doing all of it.
Because I haven’t just created somewhere to come for a massage, Reiki or another treatment.
I’ve curated this place to almost be a ‘portal’ beyond the gate.
A little transition between the outside world and this one.
You walk through the gate carrying whatever life has thrown at you and, for a little while, the outside world feels further away.
Problems feel smaller.
Outside noise quietens.
Breathing slows.
The heartbeat settles.
And there are tiny details you might not consciously notice, but somehow feel.
None of it is accidental.
From the calming essential oils, to incorporating breathwork or meditation, I’m led by you and what you bring into the space that day. I’m always observing, listening and adapting to what you might need in that moment.
I wanted to create a little space where you don’t have to rush, perform, achieve or look after everybody else.
Somewhere to slow down.
Somewhere to feel human again.
So yes, people only see one side of this space.
But when someone walks back through that gate a little lighter than when they arrived, it makes all the parts you don’t see worth it.
The lows can be heavy, but the highs are so rewarding.
Thank you for being part of it. 💕
And beyond everything this space already is, I really hope we can build something else here too — a strong community of like-minded people who want to connect, slow down and feel a little more human.
That’s what I’ll be working on next… 💕
