As a business, we’ve stayed transparent about how difficult the Access to Work process has been lately. Whether that’s long delays, being cut off whilst on hold, or having difficult conversations with case managers.

But after our Client Onboarder, Kelly, had a really positive call with a call handler recently, we wanted to share something he said.

Because even though the system can still be incredibly difficult to navigate, there's moments like this that remind us that there are people who genuinely want to help, and we think it’s important to highlight those positive experiences too.

We thought some of you might find this useful 💜

If you've ever found yourself asking "What now?" after a health condition, diagnosis, injury, or other life-changing event, this live conversation might resonate.

It's all about rebuilding your sense of purpose, finding opportunities, and creating a path forward that works with your health.

The live starts at 5pm today, and there'll be a recording available afterwards too.

Pride doesn’t have to be loud to be real. For some people, belonging looks like resting, masking less, setting boundaries or simply making it through the day.

You're still part of the community, even if you don’t feel able to celebrate in the ways people expect. 💜

Now We're Talking: The Foundations is a six-session online course running on Wednesday evenings from 3 June to 8 July, 6-8pm via Microsoft Teams. It covers the business fundamentals that often get pushed to the bottom of the list, including branding, legal foundations, bookkeeping, accounting and VAT, cash flow and funding, and software and tools. Each session is led by a practitioner in that field, and it's deliberately small, so everyone gets real value from the room.

Our branding expert has led creative projects for big global names including Google and the Olympic Games. The full speaker lineup is being released on socials, where you can find more information as it drops.

Full Course: £250 (all six sessions)
Finance Sessions Block: £150 (Sessions 3, 4 and 5 only)

10% of proceeds go to the Charlie and Carter Foundation, a local charity with national reach offering a lifeline to parents of children with life-limiting illnesses, so they don't have to choose between going to work to pay the bills or being there for their child when they're needed most.

It’s been a while since we last did any decorating at the TIM office 😅
Michelle’s been busy painting and rearranging the furniture, so things might look a little different on your next visit. 👀

St James Park London, 33 degrees☀️

Look at the happy faces😃

Nic, Z and Mary travelled from Newcastle and Brighton to meet for the first time!

Online support means clients and their support workers can live at opposite ends of the country which is fab. What a treat to be able to come together in person!

We love hearing about things like this and to be sent pics is even better, please feel free to send us any pics and stories you're happy for us to share📸

Many typical work habits are built around pushing through exhaustion and ignoring your body until you can’t anymore.

But for those of us living with invisible disabilities, “success” often has to be redefined outside of hustle culture.

Today is Global Accessibility Awareness Day, a day that resonates closely with the work we do at This Is Me and the clients we support every day.

Accessibility is often thought about as something “extra”, when actually many of us use it all the time.

Accessibility supports everyone, but for disabled and neurodivergent people, it can be the difference between being able to participate or being excluded.

Creating more accessible workplaces, communication and systems matters. Not just today, but every day.

What’s one accessibility feature you use regularly?

Randoms Retreat is holding a free community event tonight from 7pm, featuring meditation, greeting the horses, and a cosy campfire with hot drinks and marshmallows. 😋💜

They’d also really love feedback on how to make events like this more accessible and doable for people. Go have a read 👇
