Sometimes the flowers are amazing, beautiful and different. The treble cleff base for the flowers has now been used at both of the celebrations of life for a pair of wonderful identical twins who were both very musical in so many different ways. The remaining husband has now put it away in the garage until it is more than likely to be used again in his honour.

Yesterday was a truly difficult day as I led the service for two wonderful people who have now left us from this world A young man who had fought for his country in both Iraq and Afghanistan tragically took his own life after years of torment, after been let down over many years by those who sent him to war. But even more so when his own mum also passed away within days of his death. I led two separate Celebrations of Life for both Mum and Son, to commemorate all that both had been and achieved in this world. May they both now Rest in Peace as they are once more reunited in love.

What a wonderful day at Bron Y Nant Chapel yesterday. It was a wonderful celebration of a gentleman's life who for many of his years lived in Abu Dhabi. In fact this is sadly where he passed away several weeks ago. He was cremated out there and his ashes returned in a most beautiful decorative urn. I then had the honour of conducting a celebration of his life, before i scattered his ashes in the memorial garden there, alongside his mum and dad. Music, words and pictures formed a most wonderful tribute to a real gentleman, with all his children and grandchildren around us. You had a truly fulfilling and international life sir, may you rest in eternal peace.

When you receive an email like this, this is what makes this role so worthwhile.

Dear Peter,

On behalf of myself and my family I would like to say thank you so much for the beautiful service you delivered yesterday at the crematorium. Your attention to detail, your kindness, compassion and professionalism was truly appreciated and I felt truly supported at this difficult time particularly as nothing was too much trouble. You took a lot of time and effort to capture the essence of G, putting together the perfect tribute worded beautifully.
I can't thank you enough.

A gentleman who conquered the land, the sea and the air, as well as caving too. What an adventurer indeed, a true man who overcame everything in his path to succeed. I had the honour to help his family say their farewells to their own beloved hero in every way possible, with tales and parables from his feats all over the world from friends and pals around him. Good night and God Bless Sir.

I was honoured to help a family say farewell to a most wonderful lady in life, who had a real passion for dogs and horses. Below is a quote that the family left for me.
Peter I just want to say that we have both been really moved by what you have written and we r really grateful of your skills, thought and consideration in writing this service. It's really moving and beautiful. I think it's very easy to not value people's skills though Peter, and also culturally we are not good around death in the UK.

As we said farewell to a real gent and a family man he was escorted into the crem by over 150 bikers in the full regalia of helmets, leathers and biker boots. Riding everything thing from a little 125cc up to a 2000cc speed machine, on everything from a Honda to a Harley Davidson, it was a truly amazing sight to see. They turned out in their huge numbers to pay their last respects to a gent of the Open Road.

A most lovely man, someone who put the word gentle into the word gentleman. This was how we only describe our brother. He was in the Merchant Navy for over 40 plus years having joined as a cabin boy at just 15 years old. As a Chief Steward he was highly rated in everything he did, serving both the well heeled and the rich and famous. It was a real honour for me to help his family say a last farewell to an amazing brother and uncle, someone who loved the world and travel. Good night and God Bless Sir, safe travels.

It was a truly beautiful spring day today as we bade farewell and said goodbye to a real gentleman in life. He had dedicated so much of his life to both dogs and horses and simply could not pass one of them without giving them a stroke or a tickle, or even better, giving them one of the many treats that his pockets were always filled with. A burial was his choice and in a graveyard of his choice with the warmth of the sun and the daffodils waving in the wind. Goodnight and God Bless Sir.

He was a most wonderful gentleman of times gone by. A retired Police Officer, who braved the streets and the elements. But most of all, a wonderful family man who meant the world to him. Always thinking of others first, a gent of the highest order, he is now reunited with his loving son once more. Thank you sir, for all you have been and still are to us all.
