16TH IN THE UK 🥹🏆
Honestly… I’m just really bloody proud.
Looking back, 15 years ago I started mobile, practicing legs on the local footy lads to now- I never imagined that one day I’d have a team beside me, have my own academy AND be attending one of the biggest awards in our industry.
Did we win? No.
But being there with my team, knowing how far Healing Hands has come, I genuinely didn’t need a trophy to feel like we’d achieved something pretty special.
Healing Hands isn’t just me anymore. Every single one of my team past & present has played a part in what we’ve built, the reputation we have and the reason our clients continue to choose us. I’m incredibly grateful to have you girls beside me.
There’s another reason this meant so much to me too.
Our industry has changed massively over the years and awards like these are understandably filled with incredible businesses across hair, beauty and aesthetics.
But massage deserves recognition too.
There wasn’t actually a dedicated massage category for us to enter, which is why we competed within Specialist Salon of the Year.
So to place 16th in the whole of the UK amongst businesses across such a huge industry? I’m taking that as a win for us — and a little win for massage as a profession too. 🙌🏼
Massage isn’t an “extra”.
It isn’t just something you book on a spa day.
It takes knowledge, skill, years of practice and a genuine understanding of the human body.
So I’ll keep doing my little bit to push our profession forward and give skilled massage therapists the recognition they deserve.
From a mobile massage therapist practising wherever she could…to a team, a salon, an academy and 16th in the UK.
Not bad, that. 🥹
