Temporary Amendment to Visiting Policy

General Information for All Visitors

Unfortunately, due to the latest Coronavirus advice and the rising R rate, we as an organisation, have taken the position to temporarily suspend visiting to ensure the Health & Safety of our Residents, Staff & Visitors. This is a temporary measure and the decision will be reviewed again in two weeks.

The following conditions must be adhered to.

Those residents receiving end of life care will be afforded open ended visiting in their own rooms by one named relative.
All permitted visitors must adhere to the home`s infection prevention precautions, and control measures, including a temperature test, strict and mandatory hand hygiene, face covering/ masks should be worn at all times., the use of other PPE (as appropriate) and social distancing requirements, and the use of hand sanitizer on arriving and leaving the area. Hand sanitizer is provided at the temperature checkpoint.
Visitor temperatures will be taken before each visit and information for screening and tracing, will be requested and recorded.

• Please Note that Virtual supported visiting and telephone calls will continue to be supported and facilitated.
Essential Health professional, will still be admitted to the building.
