Many of us have heard of the Pendle Witches, who in 1612 were sent to the gallows on charges of witchcraft. Their story is one of the most well-known witch hunts in English history because of the detailed pamphlet written by the court clerk, Thomas Potts.

I've beed surprised this year however, just how few people know their individual names. Today on the anniversary of their tragic deaths, it feels fitting to remember them by naming them...naming is a way to honour people.

So here they all are...I invite you to give them a tip of your hat along with a little prayer...they teach us so much about our shared history.

17-20 August 1612...the dates of the now notorious Lancaster Witch Trials that firmly established "The Pendle Witches" in our British folkloric legacy.

It's an anniversary I feel important to recognise, especially in Lancaster - to create an opportunity to come together and remember...not in a performative or gimmicky way - what would be the point of that? - but in a heartfelt, meaningful way that can help us own and heal the parts of the witch hunt dynamics that live inside of us.

So remembrance in a way that brings change - that was the intention for this weekend's gathering at The Witches' House of Healing Arts. An intimate day of ritual, ceremony, sisterhood and connection.

It was a beautiful day...Reclaiming the lost treasure of our inner Witch through an alternative "Witch Hunt" around the Castle, followed by a beautiful ceremony in The Storey gardens with tea and cake in the afternoon.

A huge thank you goes to all the women who came and to some very special helpers who came in service to collective healing.

Prayers up and gratitude for those ordinary folk of 1612.
My heart is full. ♥️

A beautifulful day at the Pendle Heritage Centre honouring the Pendle Witches on this special day and healing the wounds of disconnection.

Nothing like a wild Nature mandala and a little spirit doll to bring us home to what really matters.

Simple yet profound.
Beauty heals.
Creativity heals.
Sisterhood heals.

My heart is full.
Thank you to everyone who came this time.

It's been a pretty awesome harvest so far with all sorts of goodies to stock up my medicine cabinet. I've noticed how much more inspired I've been to gather nature's offerings this year and have spent many an hour sat processing and then drying things out.

As I slow down my pace of life I notice the inner shifts. My relationship with nature is deepening. My inner wild is being expanded. My ancestral connection is becoming internalised. My sense of home and belonging is feeling grounded in my nervous system.

Lughnasadh arrives this weekend and I'll be honouring Great Mother with a ton of gratitude this year.

My inner Witch is alive and well! I hope yours is too!

Come join us this Saturday as we gather to honour Lughnasadh and celebrate this time of beauty and abundance.

We'll be connecting with Old Demdike as part of our exploration of the Pendle Witch story and seeking guidance from the ancestral wisewomen.

Expect some gentle, yet often powerful, inner connection, heart-sharing and seasonal craft-making (this month Spirit dolls!) as we come together in sacred circle.

August marks the anniversary of the 1612 Pendle Witch Trials...

To honour those persecuted we're holding a beautiful day of sisterhood, ceremony and a Witch Hunt with a twist!

Come join us as we gather to remember and repair the wounds of the past, and have fun with a Witch Hunt to reclaim the lost treasures of the past!

In the afternoon we'll have an outdoor ceremony with story and song, and tea with the yummiest of cakes!

An opportunity to meet with old friends and familiar faces, and to make new ones - we hope you'll join us.

The Witch's Wheel Summer Solstice Ceremony at Pendle Heritage Centre was another beautiful day. I'm so grateful to all those who came and made it so.

As always, we honoured the Pendle Witch's as real folk of Lancashire and ancestors of this land. Journeying this time with 11 year old, Jennet Device, I never stop being amazed by the wisdom and insight that comes through - especially in a group container.

It was a good opportunity to also connect in with our own 11 year olds and the positive aspects of our child selves that often get buried by the wounded child. Truth is we can't live magical lives unless we have our magical child in tact!

Lately my own magical child has discovered the joy of making cordage from natural materials. So I took some with me and showed everyone how to do it too. It's so easy and is something that takes us straight back to the 17th century - no string or cellotape shops in those days!

Working our cordage into Witch's Ladders, harnessing the solstice energy and I feel me some strong intentions being set. It's definitely going to be magic o' clock!

Such a beautiful day celebrating the beauty and abundance of Beltaine at the Pendle Heritage Centre yesterday.

Feeling so full of gratitude to all those who came and contributed to a magical day of heart connection.

A bit blown away by the insights and wisdom that came through some powerful inner journeying, as we honoured the Pendle Witches as real people and ancestors.

And an ancestral Beltaine fire! A few songs and drums. What's not to love!

Heart wide open! Beauty all around.
Thank you to all who came, amd to the land and the magical venue for holding us.
