🌺 Hallgarth Summer Fair 2026 🌺

What a wonderful afternoon we had today at our Hallgarth Summer Fair! Although the weather didn’t quite match our Hawaiian theme 🌴☀️, it certainly didn’t dampen the spirits of everyone who came along and made the day such a success.

We are delighted to share that we raised £537, which will go directly towards activities and wellbeing opportunities for our residents.

A huge thank you goes to Jeanette for her hard work in organising the event and helping bring all the plans together. Thank you also to Leanne & Emma our activities & wellbeing team and the wonderful care staff, whose support, teamwork and enthusiasm throughout the day made everything run so smoothly.

Special thanks to Kim for all the delicious cakes, buns and baked treats that were enjoyed by residents, relatives and visitors alike 🍰🧁.

We are incredibly grateful to our volunteers, to the stall holders who supported the event, and to all the family members, friends and visitors who came along, joined in the fun, and helped create such a warm and happy atmosphere.

It was lovely to see so many smiles, laughter and community spirit throughout the afternoon, and we are proud of what we achieved together as a team.

Today our residents enjoyed a trip around the market and around Cottingham enjoying each other’s company m, enjoying the sunshine and being together ☀️

☀️ A lovely afternoon out for some of our residents!

With the support of our wonderful volunteers, Well-being Assistant Emma and Activities Coordinator Jeanette, residents enjoyed a trip to the local market, where they met some fascinating creatures including a snake, a bearded dragon and a giant millipede! 🐍🦎

The afternoon was rounded off with a relaxing visit to the local pub for a refreshing shandy in the sunshine. 🍻

Thank you for making another enjoyable afternoon out possible. Days like these help keep our residents connected with the local community while creating lovely memories together. 💛
