We know it’s only the beginning of September, but we’re already planning some Christmas events, including the festive pub lunch 🎄😋

The table has provisionally been booked for Wednesday 16th December, 12pm at The Burnt Post

If you’re interested in joining us, there is a £5pp non-refundable deposit due by 25th September - please pop your money in an envelope labelled ‘festive lunch deposit x number of people’ and hand to the office please.

🎶A lovely Afternoon of Music🎶

We had a wonderful time today with David, who sang for us and brought plenty of smiles to our residents ❤️

We held smaller group sessions to create a more person-centred experience, giving everyone the opportunity to join in at their own pace. It was wonderful to see everyone getting involved with the singing and enjoying the music together.

A special mention to Geoff and Jo, who couldn’t resist getting up and having a little dance 💃🏼🕺🏻

Thank you David for bringing such joy and creating some lovely memories for us all 🎵😊

🧸💭Memory Lane Moments Club💭🧸

Yesterday afternoon was our fortnightly Memory Lane Moments Club, and this week our theme was all about childhood toys 🪀🧸

I brought a little piece of the last into the home, with toys from my house for everyone to see and have a go with. We also watched videos on the telly featuring toys and games that were popular in the 1930s, 40s and 50s.

It was lovely to see faces light up with recognition as everyone remembered the toys I’d brought in. With everyone having a go themselves.

Luckily, when it came to the skipping rope, everyone wisely decided to leave that one alone… 🙈 We didn’t want any accidents!

There were lots of smiles, laughter, stories and memories shared, making it another truly lovely afternoon together ❤️

Sometimes a simple toy can unlock a wonderful memory 🌈💭

🎶💃🏼 We were delighted to welcome a new singer, David, to entertain us this morning. He had our residents dancing, singing along and thoroughly enjoying themselves 🥰

A few of our residents even got up and showed us that they still have the moves! It was absolutely wonderful to see so many smiles, laughter and everyone joining in ❤️

Thank you so much, Dave, for bringing such a lovely atmosphere and making our morning so special. Were sure we’ll be seeing you again very soon 🎤🎶

On Sundays, our residents have the opportunity to come together for Mass and church services, embracing both the Catholic and Church of England faith traditions ⛪️

These special moments give everyone a chance to pause, pray, and enjoy some quiet time together - a time to reflect, remember, and find comfort in faith and community 🕊

It is always lovely to see residents coming together in a peaceful and supportive atmosphere, sharing this meaningful part of their week ❤️
