This year, our beautiful memorial window at Grimmett & Timms has been lovingly created by our Funeral Director, Louise.

The display features handmade knitted poppies, symbolising remembrance and reflection, alongside elegant touches of gold butterflies and autumnal details a tribute to those we honour and remember.

As Remembrance Day approaches, we invite you to pause for a moment at our window to reflect and remember all who have served and those we hold dear in our hearts. ❤️

A Personal Farewell for Joe

Today at Grimmett & Timms we had the honour of conducting a personal farewell service led by Charlotte , celebrating the life of a remarkable gentleman Joe.

Joe was born in Berlin in 1941, during a time of great turmoil. Despite those early years in N**i Germany, he found peace and purpose at sea. His life as a sailor took him across the world, but it was the port of Liverpool that truly anchored him the place where he met the love of his life and began a new chapter filled with warmth and belonging.

Today’s service reflected his journey beautifully from the maritime touches that honoured his seafaring life to the heartfelt tributes shared by those who knew him best.

A life defined by adventure, love, and courage and a farewell filled with dignity. ⚓

We would like to thank Joe’s family for allowing us to share in such a personal and meaningful goodbye.

Today a family brought in this beautiful urn, and we wanted to give it its moment.
It truly is stunning.
A final resting place for a lady who was so deeply loved. 💜🌹

We wanted to share it with you to show that there are so many meaningful options when it comes to choosing an urn.
