Regretfully we appear to be having problems once again with the call back function. While most call backs are going through as intended, there are a few that are being cut off prematurely. We hope this issue will be resolved shortly and thank you for your patience.

In the meantime, don't forget you can use our online service Anima! All requests submitted through Anima are triaged by our most senior GPs to ensure you get the most appropriate care first time. You can use Anima for appointment requests, medical queries, or administrative requests. More information can be found on our website, linked in the comments.

🚧Road Closure Warning 🚧
There is an expected road closure for the next three days happening on Bennetts Road. While only a small section of road will be closed (near Keresley United Reformed Church and entrance to Prologis Park), this will make transport between the two surgeries located on Bennetts Road South and Bennetts Road North difficult due to diversions.

As we have three locations please take extra care to confirm where your appointment will be held and allow extra time if necessary. We may need to reschedule your appointment if you arrive at the wrong location.

Bennetts Road South, CV6 2FL: This is our main practice, located inside of the Keresley Green Medical Centre which is shared with Springfield Medical Practice. This location is opposite Keresley Coronation Club and is just before the B4098 road that takes you towards Coventry city centre. The number 16 bus route will take you to a stop located just outside the surgery.

Bennetts Road North, CV7 8LA: This is our smaller village practice, on the corner of Exhall Road (New Road if coming from Ash Green), located by Keresley End. You can find it between Keresley Community Library and the small parade of shops (Crest Pharmacy, One Stop, Bobbo’s Village Fish Bar, Premier Chicken) with the number 16 bus route also being able to take you just outside the surgery.

Fillongley, Coventry Road, CV7 8EQ: This is our smallest practice and our only dispensing practice. It is located on the bend, just before the start of Fillongley village. If coming from Coventry you will pass Fillongley Village Hall on your left and you can find the practice on your right. Regretfully, there is no direct bus to this surgery. The 735 bus route will take you as far as Fillongley with a 10 minute walk towards the surgery. As this service is not very frequent, we recommend alternative arrangements.

When submitting an Anima request for an appointment, there is an option at the end to include your preferred location. We will always endeavour to provide you with an appointment that is located at a practice that is most accessible to you. If you are ever uncertain of where your appointment will be held, you can check on Anima or call the surgery.

While this issue had previously been resolved, it appears to be impacting some patients again this morning. We will update this post when we have more information available.

⚠ We are currently experiencing technical issues with our telephone "call back" functionality. This has been raised with our provider and we hope the issue to be resolved shortly. We are making every effort to ensure patients position in the queue are not lost. If you have recently called the surgery and opted in for a call back, we hope to get back in touch with you soon and apologise for any inconvenience caused.

If you have been waiting for a long time and not received a call back, please get back in touch either by calling or submitting an Anima via our website.

April marks the start of Bowel Cancer Awareness Month! If you are aged between 50 and 74, you will be invited to take part in bowel cancer screening every 2 years. You can contact the local bowel cancer hub on 0800 783 8042, open 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday if you have any questions.

The Bowel Cancer Screening Programme aims to detect cancer at an early stage in people with no symptoms, when treatment is likely to be more effective. Keep your kit by the loo, don't put it off.

Those eligible for bowel cancer screening will receive an invitation letter, along with an information leaflet (available in multiple languages) explaining screening and its possible benefits and risks.

About a week later, the programme will send a Faecal Immunochemical Test (FIT) kit with instructions on how to use it at home. Results are sent out two weeks after the laboratory receives the completed kit. At this point, if the test is positive, a referral is then sent to the Screening Centre at University Hospital in Coventry. For more information, please visit the Bowel Cancer Screening page on the UHCW website, linked in the comments.
