We recently had the privilege of caring for the funeral of a truly lovely lady whose love of butterflies was beautifully reflected throughout her farewell.

As family and friends gathered to celebrate her life, they took part in a heartfelt butterfly release, a touching tribute symbolising love, hope, remembrance and the freedom of the soul. It was a truly moving moment that will stay with everyone who witnessed it.

Rest in peace, Lilian. 🦋💜
May the butterflies carry your love, and may your beautiful spirit forever soar free. You will always be remembered with love.

A final journey for a truly remarkable man. 🕊️✨

Known to all as “Bossman,” he was a beloved husband, dad, uncle, great uncle, grandad, and dear friend to so many.
The funeral procession was respectfully led by our funeral director, Martin, as his family and loved ones walked alongside him to pay their respects and celebrate his life.
Rest in peace, Bossman. You will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. ❤️

We had the privilege of honouring the life of an Army veteran with a dignified and respectful farewell.
The hearse was proudly led by the Standard Bearers Association, providing a moving and fitting tribute to a gentleman who served his country with pride. Draped in the Union Flag and adorned with a beautiful tribute of red and white roses, the coffin was also accompanied by his beret and fusilier plume, symbolising a lifetime of dedication, courage, and service.
The funeral was conducted with the utmost care and compassion by our Funeral Director, Martin, who ensured every detail reflected the respect and gratitude this veteran deserved.
At Grimmett & Timms Funeral Directors, it is a privilege to support families in creating meaningful farewells that truly honour a loved one’s life and legacy. We are grateful to the Standard Bearers Association for their participation in giving this veteran the dignified send-off he so richly deserved.

Today is Justine’s last day with us, and we’d like to take a moment to recognise the incredible contribution she’s made to our team and the families we support.

Throughout her time with us, Justine has carried out her role with compassion, professionalism, and unwavering dedication. From welcoming loved ones into our care to supporting families through life’s most difficult moments, she has approached every step with kindness, respect, and genuine care.

Within the team, Justine has been someone everyone could rely on. Whether organising birthday collections, supporting colleagues, or simply being a calm and dependable presence, she has made a lasting difference to those around her. Her hard work and quiet dedication have never gone unnoticed. We are incredibly grateful for everything Justine has contributed, and she will be greatly missed by us all.

We would like to warmly invite you to join us for our Macmillan Coffee Morning on Friday 25th September, from 12:00 noon at our office.
