Please be advised the Practice will be closed for staff training on Tuesday 15th September 2026 between 2-630pm.

Please be advised that an Out Of Hours telephone service will be in place during this time. The telephone number is 0300 102 5555.

Walk-in clinics for meningitis B vaccinations are being held in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan in August.

They are available to those:
- Born between September 1, 2007 and August 31, 2008
- Anyone under 25 starting higher education or residential further education for the first time in autumn 2026. This group should bring evidence of being a first year student in a UK university.

The vaccination clinics will be held at:
📍Maelfa Wellbeing Hub, Llanedeyrn (CF23 9PN): August 3-8 (9am-4.30pm) and August 10-15 (9am-4.30pm)
📍Barry Hospital (CF62 8YH): August 3-8 (9am-4.30pm) and August 10-15 (9am-4.30pm)
📍Riverside Health Centre (CF11 9SH): August 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12 (9am-4.30pm)

No appointment needed – just turn up! Two doses, four weeks apart, are needed for full protection.

MenB bacteria can cause serious illnesses including meningitis, septicaemia and sepsis.

This is time-limited vaccination programme, so please make every effort to attend.

MenACWY, HPV and 3-in-1 teenage booster vaccines will also be offered on the day.

We launched our new care navigation phone service today.
This can be accessed by ringing the practice during our opening hours and selecting the care navigation option. Within this option you can book appointments and make admin requests.

The service can be accessed 24 hours a day by calling 01446 502321 also.

From September, RSV vaccination will be offered to people aged 65–74 who are at higher risk of getting seriously ill from the virus. The vaccine is already offered to all adults aged 75 and over.

RSV is a common virus that can lead to serious health problems - such as bronchiolitis and pneumonia - in older people and babies. Each year, it leads to between 700 and 1,000 hospital admissions among over-75s and up to 9,000 GP appointments.

Getting vaccinated not only helps protect individuals from serious illness - it helps ease pressure on GPs and hospitals, particularly during the winter months.

If you’re eligible, take up the offer when invited.
