Phew! What a busy final week of term it has been! 💛🦙
On Sunday, I hosted a 9th birthday party and got to take a little bit of the stress away from the birthday girl’s parents. Her only request for the theme was… “fun!” (No problem! 😉) Of course, I couldn’t resist adding a few personalised touches too, including a spin of the “Wheel of Chaos”!
On Wednesday, I had the honour of helping at Holy Cross Catholic Primary School with their Year 6 leavers’ performance. They had worked so incredibly hard during rehearsals over the previous days and weeks and their final performance was “magnifique”… they absolutely smashed it! I was so proud of every single one of them, and of Lizzy Blackman, for all the hard work that went into making it happen.
A huge thank you to everyone at Holy Cross for inviting me to be part of your Year 6 production. It was a real privilege to support such a talented group of children and thank you so much for the beautiful flowers - such a thoughtful surprise that really meant a lot 💐💛
Earlier that same day, I was invited to Little Acres Childcare Centre Ltd leavers’ party after spending the past 18 months visiting many of the children there. Their excitement to see me is always one of the highlights of my week (even if they do all call me “Llama Drama!” 😂). It was so special to spend one last session with around 40-45 preschoolers before they head off to school in September.
Yesterday, we had a quieter Home Ed SEND/sensory-friendly session but those smaller groups always remind me why I love what I do. The conversations with parents, the trust they place in me and hearing how much their children enjoy and benefit from the sessions genuinely fills my heart.
Finally, yesterday was the last session for some of my wonderful Year 6s at St Marys Catholic Primary School, many of whom have been with me for two years. It was definitely emotional but we made sure to celebrate in style with the karaoke machine… singing songs, telling jokes and enjoying one last fun session together before they move on.
Today marks my final regular classes of the term and then it’s on to an exciting summer of holiday sessions before we begin another academic year in September.
Thank you to every child, parent, school, nursery and supporter who has been part of Llama Drama this year. Whether you’ve been with me for one session or one hundred, thank you for believing in what I do.
Please stick with us as Llama Drama continues to grow and develop. I’m so grateful for this wonderful little llama community we’ve built together 💛
