✨ What happens to your body during and after a massage? ✨
You may have heard people say that massage “flushes out toxins” from the body. While massage doesn’t literally remove toxins, it can support your body’s natural circulation and fluid movement.
During massage, gentle to deeper pressure and movement of the tissues can:
💆♀️ Encourage blood circulation
💧 Support lymphatic fluid movement
🫶 Help reduce muscle tension and feelings of heaviness
🌿 Promote relaxation and a sense of wellbeing
✨ Leave your body feeling lighter, looser and refreshed
It’s also completely normal to feel very relaxed, sleepy or a little thirsty after a massage. Some people may feel mild muscle tenderness, particularly after a deeper treatment.
💧 After your massage: take some time to relax, drink normally according to your thirst, and give your body a chance to enjoy the benefits of the treatment.
Your body already has its own amazing detoxification systems — massage is there to support relaxation, circulation and healthy movement, not to replace them. 🤍
