Patient Notice

Due to unexpected staff sickness we may take a little longer than usual to answer your call today. Our reception team are doing their best to deal with all queries this morning. If your query is non-urgent, if you can, use our online consultation tool to send in any medication or administrative queries.

For life threatening conditions, please ring 999
For non-urgent clinical advice, please ring 111

Thank you

Reminder:

📢 We're changing how we contact our patients

To help reduce costs and make better use of valuable NHS funding, The Village Surgery will now contact patients primarily by email or through the NHS App, rather than by SMS.

How you can help:
✅ Make sure we have your current email address.
✅ Download the NHS App and switch on notifications so you don't miss important messages from us or the NHS.

Don't have an email address or a smartphone? That's absolutely fine. We'll continue to send SMS messages when needed as a last resort, so you'll still receive important updates.

Thank you for helping us reduce unnecessary costs and ensure NHS resources are used where they're needed most.

📢 Patient Notice: We are busier than usual today

Due to unexpected staff sickness, our clinical team is currently running at a reduced capacity. This means we may take a little longer than usual to respond to non-urgent queries, and have less appointments today than usual. Please accept our apologies if you are asked to seek 111 or urgent treatment centres instead.

We are working incredibly hard to see patients as quickly and safely as possible. If you have a routine or non-urgent request, please consider using our online services or contacting your local pharmacy.

Thank you so much for your patience, kindness, and understanding! 💙

‼️IMPORTANT UPDATE‼️We are changing how we communicate with you

The rising cost of text messaging to the NHS means we need to adapt how we stay in touch regarding your appointments, reminders, and health queries. To ensure we are using NHS resources as efficiently as possible, we will be transitioning our patient communications to email or the NHS App. To make sure you don't miss any vital updates, please take a moment to ensure we have your current email address or download the NHS App and turn on notifications.

Visit our website for more details on how to update your contact details:

If you are over 75 or immunosuppressed, the COVID-19 spring booster can protect you from getting seriously ill💚

Like all medicines, vaccines can cause side effects such as:
• feeling sore where you had the injection
• achy, like you have flu
• tired
• headache

Most side effects are mild, only last a day or two and not everyone gets them.

Speak to your GP or pharmacist or search 🔎 ‘NHS COVID-19 vaccine’ for more details.
