🌟 **WE’VE BEEN SHORTLISTED!** 🌟

We are absolutely delighted and incredibly proud to announce that we have TWO shortlistings in the Partners in Care Excellence in Care Awards!🏆💙

✨ Amy Selley – Care/Support Worker of the Year

How many people would walk **13 miles through snow in one day** just to make sure they reached the people they care for?

Amy would. ❤️

When the weather made travelling almost impossible, Amy didn’t let it stop her. She was determined to reach her clients and make sure they received the care and support they needed. That dedication, compassion and commitment is exactly what care is all about.

✨ Helen Winston – Palliative/End of Life Carer of the Year

Helen’s passion for providing exceptional end-of-life care is truly something special. 💙

She doesn’t simply provide care — she gives her time, compassion and heart to make sure every client receives the dignity, comfort and respect they deserve, even when it means giving up her own time.

Helen goes above and beyond for the people she cares for, including continuing to support families and ensuring that, after someone has passed away, they are treated with the utmost **dignity, tenderness and respect**. Her care doesn’t stop at the end of life — her compassion carries through to the very end and beyond.

We couldn’t be prouder of Amy and Helen. 🥹❤️

These shortlistings are a wonderful recognition of the incredible people we are lucky enough to have within our team, and the difference they make every single day.

Congratulations Amy and Helen — you are both absolute stars! 🌟

🩷Caring doesn’t stop after the visit.🩷

At Forever Loving Care, we believe that providing care is about so much more than what happens during a scheduled visit.

Sometimes, the things we do happen quietly behind the scenes, and people never get to see them.

Recently, we supported a client through a big change in their life. Moving home can be stressful and overwhelming, so we simply wanted to make things a little easier.

So Debby, Sam and Emily got stuck in! 📦💪

Lugging boxes, carrying bags, climbing stairs, unpacking, organising and generally doing whatever needed to be done.

And after all those trips up and down the stairs, we're pretty sure we're developing muscles like Hulk Hogan!😂💪

We've given our time around our normal working hours and even on our days off. There was no charge. We simply didn't want our client to have to spend their own money on things we were more than happy to help with.

Because sometimes, it's not about making a profit.

Sometimes it's about goodwill, kindness and doing the right thing. 💙 Caring doesn’t stop after the visit. 💙

We care.
We help.
We go the extra mile. 🩷

Not because we have to.

Because we want to.🩷

Feeling incredibly grateful for these beautiful gifts from a very special family we have the privilege of supporting. ❤️...

Feeling incredibly grateful for these beautiful gifts from a very special family we have the privilege of supporting. ❤️
To be trusted during such an important and deeply personal time is something we will never take for granted.
It has been an absolute privilege for all of us at Forever Loving Care to walk alongside this family and support their special lady and those who love her.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity and such thoughtful gifts. They mean more than you know. ❤️
It truly is a privilege to do what we do. 🥰

When people call us “bum wipers,” they don’t see the emotional side of what we do. 🩷

Being a carer is so much more than washing someone, helping them use the toilet, changing pads or making sure they’ve eaten.

We are there when someone is at their most vulnerable. We hold hands when they’re scared. We listen when they need someone to talk to. We notice the little changes. We give reassurance, comfort and dignity.

And when it comes to end-of-life care, we are often there for some of the most heartbreaking and precious moments a family will ever experience.

We help keep someone comfortable. We sit beside them when there are no more words. We hold their hand. We support their family. We listen to stories about their life. We help them feel safe and respected as they approach the end.

Yes, caring can involve cleaning up bodily fluids, changing pads and doing jobs that aren’t glamorous. But that is not all we do.

We see people laugh, cry, struggle, recover, deteriorate and sometimes take their final breath.

We carry the emotional weight of this work too.

So before you call us “bum wipers,” remember that behind every task is a human being who has chosen to care for another human being — often when they need compassion the most.

We are not just there to clean people.

We are there to care. To comfort. To protect dignity. To listen. And sometimes, to hold someone’s hand until the very end. 🩷

Please show carers a little respect. You never know how much they are carrying behind the scenes. 🩷
