There will be no movement-based practice. Instead, we'll be exploring gentle cooling techniques, calming breath awareness, meditation, and guided visualisation to help you feel more comfortable, relaxed, and refreshed.

Just three generations of women being ourselves.
My 18-year-old daughter, my 71-year-old mother-in-law, and me,51.
Sometimes I wonder if we've become so used to filtered faces on screens that we've forgotten what real people look like.
I hope we never become so focused on presenting a perfect version of ourselves that we forget there's beauty in simply being real.
Real skin. Real age. Real smiles. Real life...

and a T-shirt on my head! lol 😆

And honestly, I think that's worth celebrating.

A small reminder for anyone exploring movement, yoga or breathwork online or in person.

Not all guidance is safe for all bodies.
Breath holds can help some people and harm others.
A gentle fold might soothe one person and strain someone with glaucoma or pressure issues.

You’re allowed to ask about a teacher’s qualifications.
You’re allowed to choose someone who understands anatomy, trauma, and the nervous system — not someone who did a quick course and now teaches breath retention to everyone.

There are wonderful, deeply trained teachers out there.
Find the ones who honour your safety.
So much “wellbeing” online… but not all of it is safe.
Just like an old oak, good teaching takes time, roots, and depth.
Ask about qualifications.
Your body deserves someone who’s grounded.

This week’s heatwave calls for slow, cooling practice… and apparently the camel agrees.
Tomorrow we have two slow, restorative Chair Yoga classes and on Thursday a mat‑based Yin/Restorative session — all on the floor, no standing asanas.
We’ll soften the system with left‑nostril breathing, gentle meditation, and the cooling pranayama Sitali.
And because the heat takes more from us than we realise Coconut water hydrates beautifully because it replaces the electrolytes we lose in the heat, while sugary drinks do the opposite — they pull water away from the body. So this week, hydrate like a camel and let your practice feel cool from the inside out
