You don’t need to become a more disciplined person overnight.
You need to stop expecting discipline to carry you through a plan you don’t actually enjoy or can’t realistically sustain.
You might actually need to stop trying to be so “good”.
Because if you’re spending most of the week eating as little as possible, being incredibly sensible, turning down things you fancy…
…and then finding yourself standing in the kitchen on Friday night eating things you hadn’t planned to eat…
maybe the problem isn’t that you have no willpower.
Maybe you’re just bloody hungry.
And if you’re constantly trying to compensate for what you ate yesterday by eating less today, you’re probably making this whole thing harder than it needs to be.
That’s what I mean by white-knuckling your way through fat loss.
You’re trying so hard to stay on track that staying on track becomes exhausting.
I also wouldn’t tell you to give up the foods you love.
I’d want you to learn how to eat them without that horrible feeling that you’ve “blown it”.
And I wouldn’t tell you to exercise more just because you’ve gained weight.
I’d want you to think about what kind of exercise is going to help you feel strong, capable and good in your body as you get older.
Because I don’t think women over 50 need another set of rules.
I think we need to learn how to build the discipline that makes the right things easier to keep doing.
Not perfectly.
Not every day.
But consistently enough that fat loss stops feeling like you’re constantly walking into a headwind.
And that’s exactly the kind of thing I’ve been working on behind the scenes.
I’m not sharing all the details publicly just yet…
But if you want to know what I’m putting together before I share it, DM me MIND and I’ll tell you. ❤️
