💙 What an amazing day at Bluebird Care Cheshire East & Bluebird Care Stoke-on-Trent & Newcastle Under Lyme

We were delighted to welcome the Dementia Bus to our team, providing an invaluable interactive experience for our carers, customers, and members of the local community. The experience offered a unique insight into what it can be like to live with dementia, helping us all gain a deeper understanding and empathy for those affected.

Alongside the training, we held a fantastic bake sale in support of the Alzheimer's Society, raising funds for a charity that makes such a difference to people living with dementia and their families.

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, learned, donated, and helped make the day such a success. Together, we're building a more dementia-friendly community. 💙

Today, our dedicated care team completed Suprapubic Catheterisation and Autonomic Dysreflexia (AD) Training, strengthening their knowledge and clinical skills to safely support individuals with complex care needs.

Understanding how to safely manage a suprapubic catheter and recognise the signs and symptoms of Autonomic Dysreflexia is essential when caring for individuals with spinal cord injuries and other complex health conditions. Ongoing training like this ensures our team can respond promptly and appropriately, helping to keep the people we support safe while delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

A huge well done to everyone who attended and for their continued commitment to learning, developing their skills, and providing outstanding care every day. 👏
