π APPRECIATION POST π
This is Colin (with consent), he has cerebral palsy and has recently had an exacerbation of his condition and lost the function of his right side, he now has no functioning limbs.
I have been seeing Colin at his fatherβs property for over a month now to try and restore some neurological function to his upper limb and hand.
It is an absolute pleasure to be around Colin, his determination, resilience and positive mindset is astonishing!!
Being around people with severe disabilities such as Colin, although sad at times, is incredibly rewarding and enjoyable.
Unlike people without disabilities, Colinβs wishes are solely to be able to itch his own face, never mind anything else.
The reason for this post was simply to share the special relationship i have formed with Colin and to tell the world about this manβs remarkable resilience. Hopefully it can help others put things into perspective when they are feeling low or unhappy with their lives.
Remember to count your blessings every day, thereβs always someone that would love to have what you have and be in your shoes!
