Hi, my page has been getting lots of views so I thought it would be a good time to (re)introduce myself.
I am Clare, and EMDR UK Accredited Generic and Child & Adolescent Consultant. I am a Registered Mental Health Nurse by profession and have spent most of my working life in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. In July 2025 I took up an exciting role in psychology as Clinical Lead for the Trauma Pathway, this post allows me to work strategically and clinically with children, young people and adults across a number of primary and secondary services. I also supervise EMDR therapists across CAMHS, Adult Psychology, Older Age psychiatry, Perinatal Mental Health services and Primary Care.
In my secondment to Traumatic Stress Wales where I am leading on a service improvement initiative to increase the number of Accredited practitioners in NHS services, I supervise practitioners in Health Psychology, Plastics & Burns, Long-term Health conditions and childhood cancer services.
I completed an MSc in EMDR Therapy at the University of Worcester in 2022 and became a Consultant supervisor in 2023.
My private practice continues to grow both clinically providing therapy to adults and young people as well as providing supervision to practitioners in private practice, charities and statutory services.
I am also starting an exciting new chapter training to be a Training Facilitator.
