Some of our residents made the most of the beautiful sunshine today, spending time together in the garden enjoying the fresh air and keeping well hydrated. ☀️💧

There was plenty of chatting, laughter, and wonderful company throughout the day. We were also treated to a lovely sing-song from Elizabeth, which brought smiles to everyone's faces! 🎶😊

A couple of our ladies chose to stay outside and enjoy lunch together in the sunshine, making the most of the lovely weather and each other's company.

A truly enjoyable day filled with friendship, laughter, and happy memories. 🌸🌿

We had a wonderful time welcoming visitors Hattie and her mum Amy today! 😊

Residents enjoyed a morning full of smiles, laughter and fun as some residents joined in with a variety of games together. It was lovely to see friendships being made, happy faces all around, and plenty of friendly competition!

Thank you to Hattie and Amy for visiting and helping to create such a special morning for our resident's.

Yesterday, our staff participated in a transformative training on D.I.E.T. (Dining, Immersive, Experiential Training). This specialised, empathy-building program simulated the sensory impairments, visual clutter, and physical challenges people with dementia face during meals. Through immersive scenarios, we gained a deeper understanding of the barriers to independence and proper nutrition that many individuals experience.
A big thank you to the Training 2 Care UK Ltd and to our amazing staff for their openness and dedication to continuous learning. We’re excited to apply these lessons to create more dignified, enjoyable, and nutritious dining experiences for those we serve.
We have already started to implement more visual real-food displays of what we serve, using a tablet to take pictures every day of our meals. Residents have the chance to use that today, and they can pick what they want before the meal starts. This also provides an opportunity to talk about the food together. Let's do more 👍❤️

Yesterday, our residents enjoyed a wonderful chair exercise session using soft balls. The activity included gentle movements, stretching exercises, and light coordination activities, helping everyone stay active while having fun.

It was lovely to see so many smiles, laughter, and enthusiasm throughout the session. Our residents thoroughly enjoyed taking part and spending time together in a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. 💙🏐😊

The World Cup excitement has officially begun at TAMAR HOUSE Care Home Cromer! ⚽🏆

We kicked things off with our World Cup sweepstake, with residents and staff drawing teams and making their predictions for the tournament ahead. There was lots of anticipation as everyone waited to see which team they would get!

To really get into the spirit of things, we also enjoyed a game of football together. Our residents showed off their skills, scoring plenty of goals throughout the match. Manager Katie took on the important role of referee and only had to hand out a couple of yellow cards! 🟨😄

It was a fantastic day filled with great exercise, great fun, and lots of laughter. We can't wait to follow the tournament and see whose team comes out on top!

This week, our residents celebrated World Ocean Day by sharing their favourite seaside memories. From childhood holidays spent building sandcastles to peaceful walks along the coast, it was wonderful to hear so many treasured stories and reminisce together.

To mark the occasion, residents enjoyed decorating shells, creating beautiful and unique designs. A lovely morning of creativity, conversation, and fond memories was had by all. 🌊🐚💙

🎉🎂 Happy Birthday, Brian! 🎂🎉

Yesterday, Brian enjoyed a wonderful birthday celebration surrounded by family, friends, and staff.

He spent part of his special day out with his family enjoying a delicious ice cream before returning to Tamar House, where staff gathered to sing Happy Birthday and present him with a birthday cake complete with candles for him to blow out. 🎂✨

The celebrations continued with a Norwich City-themed gift, which Brian was delighted to receive. ⚽💚💛

It was lovely to see Brian smiling and enjoying his day. From everyone at Tamar House, we hope you had a fantastic birthday and made some wonderful memories! 🥳🎈

What a fantastic afternoon of music and entertainment! 🎶💃🕺

Our residents had a wonderful time welcoming a new entertainer Louise Elder Vocalist yesterday afternoon who kept everyone smiling with a selection of upbeat songs. The room was filled with singing, dancing, and plenty of happy memories as residents joined in with their favourite tunes.

Thank you for such an enjoyable performance—we look forward to seeing you again soon! 🎤✨
