Really starting to see the work pay off now.

Upper🎯

- 2 x upper back pulldown
- 2 x mid back row
- 2 x pec deck
- 2 x high incline smith press (if I shifted any real load I might’ve had an issue there, spazzy thumb completely losing control)
- 2 x Cybex eagle chest press
- 2 x cable bicep curl
- 2 x tricep pushdown

Engaging with my chest is something I’ve struggled with for the longest time so really focussing on ex*****on here. Bringing out the chest is a massive target for me and Pete Royle | Online Coach this off season, stripped the load right back and purely focusing on feel. Training is still enjoyable even with really low food so we’re in a good place, visuals improving week on week. Plenty of progress made but this is just the start.

Is time the real issue? 🤔

Here is a prime example of why numbers aren’t everything.

On the left- 7 plates per side
Bouncing out of the bottom, 3/4 ROM, trainers, a central nervous system press, 9 reps with some leg stimulus and a lot of rest mid set.

On the right- 4.5 plates per side, quite the opposite
Controlled eccentric, full ROM, minimal momentum used, no shoes, 6 reps with one short pause for breath.

Plenty of room for progression but the difference is insane.

7 plates for 9 or 4.5 for 6.
Who’s growing bigger legs?
Believe it or not, the guy on the right will

Standardise the form, the load will come 📈

8 months apart⏳

Many people are guilty of being their own worst enemy, including me. I struggle to see the progress I’ve made just by looking in the mirror.

This comparison shows the importance of recording your training. I was guilty of chasing perfection on the left video, and looking back, I was missing out on a lot of intensity. I haven’t used this specific machine for the last 8 months, until yesterday (right video). The progress is clear.

Intensity📈
Execution📈
Body Composition📈
Strength📈

It’s not complicated.

Stay consistent, train hard, tick the boxes every day.

A few clips from my brutal leg day🔥

The highest amount of volume I’ve ever done in a training plan, something that’s new to me and I’m learning more about my capabilities every week.

In the past I’ve been guilty of sacrificing intensity for perfect reps but after starting to work with I now know what it takes to see real progress.

Taking on all feedback, getting after it🫡
