Our Support Office came together for our annual Charity Day! We raised funds to support local communities and this year’s chosen charity, the British Heart Foundation❤️

From face yoga, hand massages and our AI Magic Mirror experience to badminton, table tennis and more tournaments, there was something for everyone to get involved in. The day was filled with fun, friendly competition, and most importantly, a shared commitment to making a difference.

Thank you to our incredible suppliers for their generosity and support, and to all our colleagues who took part, donated, and helped make the day such a success.

This Diabetes Week, we’re talking about something many people wonder about:
“Are sweeteners actually any better than sugar?”

You’re definitely not alone in asking this. It’s a really common question, especially when you’re thinking about your blood pressure, weight, or blood sugar.

Sweeteners such as aspartame (often found in diet drinks), stevia (used in yoghurts), and sucralose (used in baked goods) are widely used across the UK. Some come from plant sources, others are carefully made to give that familiar sweet taste without the sugar spike.

The truth is… they can be helpful.
They may support reducing sugar and calorie intake, which can make a difference when it comes to weight management and diabetes care.

But they’re not a magic fix.

Relying on them too often can sometimes keep those sweet cravings going, especially if they’re replacing more nourishing, balanced foods in your day.

Think of sweeteners as a tool in your toolkit, helpful in moderation, but not the whole picture. Small, steady changes with food and drink choices still make the biggest difference over time.

If you’re unsure what’s right for you, your GP or local blood pressure or diabetes service can help guide you in a way that fits your health goals.
