🔸 Positive Birth Experience & Feedback for the Lucina Continuity Team 🔸

Congratulations to Samantha on welcoming her daughter Kyrie on the 21st April 2021.

Samantha has kindly shared her positive experience of the Lucina Team & photos of Kyrie.

“I really want to say a huge thank you to the team namely Nazine for looking after me during my pregnancy. She was amazing and always made me feel at ease and informed.

My birth story came thick and fast from my waters breaking at 3.00am that morning up until arriving at me arriving at triage for assessment at 7.30am.

By 8.30am I was told that I am 4 centimeters dilated and could go over to the birth centre, for the next 2 and a half hours I was in the care of Ziona and Ellie who were the absolute best and encouraged me through each contraction telling me to listen to my body. Even when my birth partner (mum) had to run home because we didn't bring my bags, I felt calm and safe and completely supported so I could focus on dealing with the contractions.

Thank you to everyone for helping me have the birth I planned for and for welcoming my daughter Kyrie into the world. ❤”

We continued 2021 by supporting 33 women during their birth on the Lucina Birth Centre, and February was a great month for our transfer rate. 😁
