As a keen recipient of massage myself, I understand how important it is to receive a treatment that is utterly bespoke to your needs in order to enjoy and benefit the most from this treatment.

Holistic massage is an ancient practice based on the principles of Swedish massage, taking into consideration your lifestyle as well as physical impairments to treat your whole body and spiritual being to the best experience possible. As a busy Mum of toddlers I understand how precious time on the couch is and want you to enjoy every second. The massage will relax you, offer muscle toning and body cleanse, and give you the purely joyful feeling of complete and cocooned rest, support and relaxation. I am also qualified in deep tissue massage techniques to soothe away the deepest tensions and stresses. I offer massage from my home in a clean, peaceful room and am also a practitioner at The Little Escape in Crystal Palace. Some benefits of holistic massage:

Reduced overall stress and anxiety
Improved muscle tone and elasticity

You are more than welcome to have your baby with you at your massage appointment. And if you’re struggling to travel post surgery, I can come to you.

I know from experience that balancing everything is hard. Finding any time for yourself when you’re not attached to babe 24/7 is impossible, so please don’t let childcare stop you from coming in.

If they need to feed, cuddle or pause the treatment for any reason, I am completely happy to accommodate that. No problem.

It’s so lovely to be able to support mums during pregnancy and even nicer to see proud mum and babe postpartum.

My client had C-Section 6 days earlier and was unable to drive hence requesting a home visit. We performed the treatment side lying and assisted supine (face up) to ensure mum’s comfort following surgery.

It was a privilege to see mum and newborn doing so well and completely relax during the treatment 🥰

If you are passionate about improving women’s health, particularly as we age, then this is one for you!

A great piece on this morning on why Osteoporosis is a big issue for aging women in this country. Two years ago the government promised to do something about it & roll out nationwide Fracture Liaison Services for early diagnosis and care but are still to make good on this promise (Wales has done this 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿👍🏻).

Each year around 2000 people die unnecessarily following a hip fracture that has been undiagnosed and could have been avoided. The majority of these are women.

Half of women over 50 will break a bone because of this condition.

You can use the pre-written letter on the Royal Osteoporosis Society website to Canvas your local MP to get the government to pull their finger out. It took me two mins to copy and paste 🙏🏼

With Tennis elbow and other forearm complaints, sometimes the issue or contributing factor to pain is actually in the shoulder or neck. If not directly, then tightness, lack or mobility or postural restrictions can certainly contribute to pain felt further down the fascial chain.

I like to work using a satellite approach, working wider than the affected area and then focusing at at more micro level, often finding the complaint has already quietened considerably by this point.

You can book a sports or remedial treatment with me at The Little Complementary clinic (1 Paxton Mews, London, SE19 3RW) via link in bio or message me for appointments at my home clinic SE19.

When working with a complaint like Tennis Elbow I like to take a satellite approach, releasing fascia and joints around the area first before working at a micro level on the problem area.

Often issues in forearm like this can be exacerbated by tightness or muscular irregularities further up the chain in the shoulder complex or neck. Releasing these first can quieten symptoms often before getting there 💫…

…and it just feels good too ☺️

You can book a therapeutic deep tissue or sports/remedial massage with me at my home clinic SE19 (dm me) or at The Little Complementary Clinic weds-Fri (link in bio above).
