📢 MenB vaccine now available to book

If you or your child are aged 17 or 18, or are starting university or eligible residential further education this autumn, you may be eligible for the MenB vaccine, which helps protect against meningococcal disease.

✅ Two doses are needed for full protection
💉 Vaccinations are available through participating community pharmacies.

Warm weather is back this week 🌡️

While temperatures may not reach the levels seen during the recent heatwave, it's still important to take care in the warmer weather.

✅ Keep a water bottle handy and drink regularly
✅ Stay in the shade during the hottest part of the day
✅ Check on older relatives, neighbours and those with long-term health conditions
✅ Keep your home cool by closing curtains and blinds in sunny rooms
✅ Know where to get help if you or someone else becomes unwell
✅ Contact NHS 111 for advice if you need medical help and aren't sure what to do

Small steps can make a big difference in helping everyone stay safe and well during warmer weather. ☀️

Know your units, know your limits.

There isn’t a completely safe amount of alcohol you can drink, but you are at lower risk of harm if you drink 14 units or less a week.
Tracking your units helps you stay in control.

A Red Heat-Health Alert has been issued, meaning high temperatures could affect everyone's health.

Remember to stay hydrated, keep cool where possible, and check in on elderly relatives, neighbours, and anyone who may be more vulnerable.

🔴⚠️ A Red Heat-Health Alert has been issued across the Midlands and southern England until 25 June. This is the highest level of alert and indicates a risk to everyone's health, not just vulnerable groups. Northern England is under an Amber alert.
