Olivia lost her heart horse last August and Dundee was her life saver. They have recently been placed 12th at the BD Nationals which is truly amazing, and being a welsh pony is just a challenge in itself. Dundee is a welsh section c stallion and takes everything in his stride and most of all has saved Olivia and helped her with such painful heartache ###

🥊 Pre-Fight Preparation 🥊

Today’s session for focused on lower back work and a shoulder flush ahead of the fight next week 💪.

Pre-competition massage isn’t about deep treatment or chasing sore spots. The aim is to prepare the body for performance by improving circulation, reducing muscle tension, increasing mobility, and helping athletes feel physically and mentally ready to compete.

A shoulder flush can help promote blood flow and keep the muscles feeling loose and responsive, while lower back work can help improve comfort and movement, especially in sports that demand power, rotation, and stability.

When every movement counts, preparation matters. 💪

👋 Hi, I’m Jess! 💜

The face behind Jess Oldknow Sports Massage Therapist and a huge believer that recovery deserves just as much attention as training.

You’ll usually find me helping clients recover from tough workouts, preparing for events, easing muscle tension, or introducing them to therapies like dry needling, fire cupping, and compression boot therapy.

When I started this business, my goal was simple:

✨ To create a welcoming space where people could access personalised treatments that genuinely help them feel, move, and perform better.

When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll most likely find me with my two dogs, Minnie and Bruno 🐾 who are head security here at my clinic… if you have been here before you have most likely been greeted by them at the door barking 🤣

Another big part of my life is my 4 horses! Me and my young horse Tom have just started our dressage journey 🐴 Competing has taught me the importance of consistency, recovery, and looking after our bodies, whether we’re athletes on two legs or four!

My favourite part of the job?

Seeing clients get back to doing the things they love. Whether that’s running a marathon, smashing a gym session, competing in their chosen sport, riding their horse, or simply moving through daily life with less discomfort.
