⚠️ Scam Alert – Bogus Caller Warning ⚠️

We are aware of bogus callers operating in East Ayrshire who are claiming to work with the Council in order to gain access to people’s homes.

The Council does not cold call residents to offer insulation, loft insulation, cavity wall insulation or other energy efficiency improvements, and we will not send contractors to your home unannounced.

This applies to both private homeowners and Council tenants.

If improvement works are scheduled for your property, we will always contact you in advance. Any contractors working on behalf of the Council will have arranged appointments and will be able to provide identification.

✅ Always ask to see identification before allowing anyone into your home.

✅ Never feel pressured into agreeing to work or letting someone into your property.

On Monday 15 June 2026, GP practices will be closed for the bank holiday.

Some community pharmacies will remain open and can provide advice on choosing and using medicines, as well as support for treating common, everyday ailments. NHS 24 also has pharmacists available to answer medicine‑ and pharmacy‑related questions by calling 111.
