Neurodiversity: The Teenage Years. A new online workshop from this excellent organisation

🚨 NEW WORKSHOP LAUNCH! 🚨
Understanding Neurodiversity: The Teenage Years

We’re excited to introduce a brand-new workshop from Behaviour Support Hub for parents and carers across Wales.

The teenage years can bring huge changes.
Growing independence.
Changing friendships.
Increased expectations at school.
Big emotions.
New pressures and social expectations.

For neurodivergent teenagers, these changes can sometimes feel overwhelming — and for parents and carers, understanding what is happening and knowing how best to help can be challenging too.

Our new Understanding Neurodiversity: The Teenage Years workshop has been created to help you make sense of some of these changes and explore practical ways to support your teenager.

During this 2.5-hour online workshop, we'll explore:

🔹 Emotional regulation, anxiety and mental wellbeing
🔹 Executive functioning and growing independence
🔹 Friendships, relationships and social expectations
🔹 Masking, identity and self-esteem
🔹 School challenges, attendance and transitions
🔹 Communication, wellbeing and practical support strategies

We'll look at the teenage years from a neurodiversity-affirming perspective, recognising that every young person is different.

📅 Wednesday 28th October 2026

Who Is LEGO Therapy For?
Is LEGO Therapy right for your child?
LEGO Therapy was originally developed to support autistic children, but it works well for any child who:
• Finds unstructured social situations overwhelming
• Wants friends but isn't sure how to join in
• Struggles with turn-taking, sharing, or working as part of a group
• Feels anxious in traditional group settings
• Has a strong interest in building, construction, or LEGO
It's not about "fixing" a child — it's about giving them a structured, predictable space where social connection can happen naturally, on their terms.
If any of this sounds like your child, get in touch and let's chat about whether our groups could be a good fit.
