Recent news from Hull has understandably raised concerns about the care and standards families should expect from a funeral director. We ourselves are shocked and saddened that this has happened to these families.

At West & Coe, we are proud to be a founding National Society of Allied & Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF) member and part of a community of independent funeral directors committed to professional and compassionate care.

We are regularly inspected and voluntarily regulated under the UK Funeral Director Code. Families also have access to an independent complaints process through SAIF, delivered by an externally audited and Chartered Trading Standards Institute-certified body.

We hope these safeguards offer added reassurance that families and their loved ones will be treated with care, dignity and respect.

Celebrating 20 Years❤️

We are so proud to be continuing our support of Dagenham & Redbridge FC as their first Principal Partner.

We first came on board as sponsors during the 2006/07 season, a landmark year that saw the Daggers earn promotion to the Football League. Two decades later, our commitment to this Club and our local community is as strong as ever.

To mark this milestone, the Club has added a specially designed “Celebrating 20 Years” logo on the 2026/27 kit. We are deeply touched by this gesture.

£36,000!

Yesterday over 140 golfers took part in our 14th Charity Golf Day, helping raise an amazing amount for local charities.

Huge thank you to all the players, sponsors and staff for all their generous.

Even England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 managed to get over the line to not dampen the day.

On Wednesday, we had the pleasure of hosting another wonderful Education and Training Day at our Dagenham Office.

It was a fantastic opportunity to bring our team together with our wonderful community partners, including staff from Barking & Dagenham Registrars Office, South Essex Crematorium, and Romford Care Centre.

Building strong connections with local professionals allows us to share knowledge, collaborate, and ensure that we always provide the highest standard of compassionate care for families during their time of need.
